Chehalis Flood 2009 - I-5 exit 76

I'm looking at doing my physical therapist assitant clinical feild work for college in Longview, Centralia, or Olympia. I can't really narrow it down to a nice area due to me being in Michigan and never traveling to WA. Does it flood out like that annually in the Chehalis/Centralia area or is this rare?

@sabian49015 for two years (2007 & 2008) it flooded because of the levies breaking or some such related thing. Since then, my mother in law has moved and we haven't been down there, but I haven't heard of any flooding. If I were you though, Olympia is a much bigger city with more going on, and Lonview is pretty close to Portland.

That flood was scary!! I still remember the boat on the freeway.

why dont they build more buildings out there by walmart? that might help the flood problem

Thanks for sharing this video..... I live in Chehalis, its been bad cuz we couldnt go anywere. I thought 2009 was suppose to be a good year.. it didnt start like it but i guess the worst is supose to come early in the year.
