The video message " Don't try this at home! " is apparently a legal responsibility waver message used by broadcasters after people and children injured themselves in the early 60's while tiring to re-create or copy what they saw on TV. It silly and corny to use it here on U Tube, as most of us will do it anyway, and you not legally responsibly anyway, if some viewer injures themselves blowing up batteries. Broadcasters require a license to operate and there are rules, we only have guidelines.

There is generally not enough power in the 9v batteries to get them to explode by simply short circuiting them. The wires are not attached properly, most of the batteries are not in the circuit, or are only partly connected incomplete circuits. The 2 9v batteries at the front are wired in parallel, so nothing will happen anyway.
