Its a flash mob. A large number of people get together at one location and do something weird. Like say they gather in along Michigan avenue and then freeze into still motion for 5 minutes. It was originally a form of expressive art, but now is a more politically powered thing. I think this is the arty fun kind. And then the participants scatter quickly, the "flash" part of it.
They have done it here in Roger's Park a few times.
Also, Chicago Critical Mass is a mass bike ride where anyone who wants to come can come and we bike through the city. Happens last friday of every month (even the cold ones). Come join us!!
Must be nice to live in Chicago! I love to ride bicycle.
