A major part of the story that many people miss is that the horse is NATIVE to North America. Did they die out in the last ice age as many believe or did they survive: We have no proof either way. We just don't know. We do know, though, that they co-evolved with the ranges and mountains here. They should be treated as endangered rather than as feral. Hello, my name is XXXX XXXXX, and I am a rich hollywood/wall street person. I read some books, and watched some movies and decided I need to buy some property on the range. I do not know anything about land management (I dont need to know anything, I make my money elsewhere). I think that these horses are wild, and they belong on the land. I don't realize that these animals aren't wild, and don't belong here. Unlike cattle, or even elk, I don't think they should be managed.
