  • It is a sweet melody. God bless you!

  • You played that like an angel...God bless you.

  • Thank you for posting this. My high school recently lost 3 students in a horrific car crash that left another student in critical condition. This song reminds me that they are in a better place

  • I'd like to hear an uptempo pizzicato version of this. Would be great title music for a movie. But it's great to hear this organ. Maybe even an organ and orchestra version.

  • Well Done

  • God Bless You. This is Beautiful...

  • Wow... this is really beautiful

  • I stumbled upon your site today while looking for lyrics to another hymn. I have spent the last hour going from one video to another. I am 63 years old, so you can imagine I have been around the block a few times. After listening to your music I just sat here and cried like a baby. THANK YOU.

  • You're welcome - glad you found the music †

  • This is a very beautiful arrangement beautifully played. Thank you very much for sharing. I am curious tho as to the registration you have on your Swell Manual. It almost sounds like a 2' flute, a celeste, and an oboe with the obvious tremolo. Very well done!

  • thats super beautiful :)

  • Hi Lance, Can you tell me how old is your Viscount organ and is it an electronic church organ as opposed to the general electronic organs available? I would like to buy an electronic or digital church organ and I understand the latest models sound very like a pipe organ due to sampling sound techniques where the older instruments tend to be synthesizers with poor sound reproduction. Having said that I thought your organ had a lovely atmospheric sound.

    Thank you.

    Martin.

  • The Organ I am using is around 3 years old, they are constantly improving the sampling, go to the Viscount Web site and you can hear the new sounds.

  • Lance, I sometimes wonder if you are aware of the impact you have on us with your performances, totally stirs the emotions. Thank You.

  • You're welcome and so kind - blessings to you †

  • this is beatiful where can i find this arrangment for organ with the chords. nice playing

  • Lance,

That is a beautiful arrangement that you made. I also love the solo stop that you used on the swell, what is the name of the stop?

  • Thank you - that is a Fagotto with a few other stops on the Solo.

  • Lance, what organ are you playing? Is that a hybrid?

  • I mention the Organ on my profile page - it is a Viscount ( made in Italy ), small but can pack a punch when I need it ! Thanks for visiting.

  • I can tell this is one of your favorite songs.

  • Hey Lance, Nice arrangement you've given this song. That's the sort of style I use for the more modern hymns. Lovely!

  • I just played this as the recessional hymn at a Catholic Funeral Mass this past Wednesday(Dec. 30) on a 3 manual Rodgers organ with 25 ranks of Austin pipework. It truly is one of my favorites and your arrangement is wonderful. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.

  • You're welcome † ♫

  • you have some talent!:D keep it up!

  • One of my very favorite songs!

  • This song was one of my late grandmother's favorites. The way you play this song reminds me of her funeral Mass and brings back many glorious memories. Thank you.

  • You're welcome - Grandmother's are just one of GOD'S many gifts to us †

  • And may your friend Rest In Peace...if she's passed on.

  • Whenever I hear this song, I think of my Grandfather. He was a member of the K of C at his church, and they sang that song so much he got sick of it..I can't imagine getting sick of hymns, but music is in my blood. He called that song "Those Eaglefeathers". So this wasn't played at his funeral. When my grandmother died, it was actually quite amusing that they played it at her funeral. My dad was quite amused.

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • this is great

  • So beautiful Lance! If I were to play the organ at the Cathedral that is soon to be built in my hometown, I would play this as the offertory song!

  • This song is beautiful. A young woman I know lost her baby before she was born, and when my choir director asked me to sing this song, I thought of this woman. This song has always comforted me, especially in the loss of a little girl I once knew who died of cancer. Her last words were, "Don't worry Mommy, Jesus is bringing me Home." This song reminded me so much of her. He is lifting us up, lifting us Home. Thank you for being a willing tool for God. You play this song beautifully. God bless.

  • Thanks you †

  • Once again, you did a beautiful job with this song, Lance. This one is probably my favorite. I had heard it in a Catholic church, and the melody was in my head for the longest time. But I did not know any of the words to it, or the title since I converted to the Episcopal church. It is sang in the Episcopal church too, but less frequently. Then, we got a new priest, who started using the hymnal, "Wonder, Love, and Praise" and we sang it at her installation When I heard it, I said to myself,

  • "That's the song I have been trying to figure out for all this time!" I then learned that the title of the song was, "you who dwell in the shelter of the Lord/ On Eagle's Wings," and I requested it at my mother's funeral.

  • Yes - I am Episcopalian and we sing it occassionally, nice song with beautiful words †

  • Have you played Were you there? I am hving fun playing this one, but would like to hear your version...thanks much

  • Please do a Search, go to my Profile page, under the Playlist where it says SERCH, type in the name. That Hymn is on here. Thank You.

  • Good song, but i'm not catholic, Im pentecostal, To me, in no offense, Catholic churches are quite boring. Pentecostal churches for example are filled with excitement, Jesus wasn't one to sit kneel sit stand. He hung out with the partiers trying to save them from the devil. He had fun, He danced, and sang.

  • Every religion has a following. No one religion is right or wrong. It's how the various denominations fit in with one another.

  • WOW - nicely said, thanks, Blessings to you †
