Atlas Shrugged is intense, but personally I liked Anthem by Ayn Rand better. It's short and sweet, but it's my favorite from her.
And if you're a fan of classic literature and/or zombies, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I've never even read the original Pride and Prejudice (I know, I fail as a book lover) and this is my comfort book (zombies!) Look it up, it's hilariously awesome.

I have to say my favourite book of all time is Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin.
It's very interesting and it gives a new perspective on what really happens to our spirit when we die.
