  • Man I wish my folks had an old carbureted vehicle! I love fuel injection, but these carbureted things remind me of childhood!

  • Wayne, how's the old truck doing? Have you ran it much this year? THis is Shane from the band Gloryshine, also known as straightpipingdaddy.

  • @GloryShineBand oh hey dude hows it been, the truck is much better since the carb was replaced, havent run it much this year yet, gotta wait till we start hauling manure to hear it in action alot

  • Now that you have fixed that thing, it's an old truck with new ideas!lol!haha!

  • I worked for a concrete guy that had a 69 C60 dump with the 366.His dad bought it new, it never gave me reason to curse it. That hurt to say. I am not a bowtie fan. I have had a brand new Chevy Kodiak with the "Tonawanda Industrial" 366 leave me sittin. Only thing good bout that truck was the 57 ft. Highranger on the back! Lol! Really enjoyed your vid. The surprise you had that it started. Brought back some memories.

  • i love that dumptruck... i wish i could buy or trade it off of ya, but i live i NC

  • Sounds a lot better than my '73 F-700 with the 330 industrial motor. Runs like crap. Luckily, I have a 300 inline 6 in a '78 F-600 that I want to swap in it.

  • i have a 1969 F-600 with a 330 and it runs like a top

  • lol drop a diesel in that bitch!

  • ha ha dont tempt me... the thought has crossed my mind, and I have a spare 6.9L international laying around too

  • whats stopping you?

  • a severe lack of time... other than that, nothing lol

  • lol im learning to be a diesel mechanic and one of my projects is restoring a 1966 john deere 4020 diesel

  • ahh cool

  • lol hopefully it'll work. it dont look too good right now

  • have you gotten that other dump truck yet

  • nope hasnt dried up enough to get the box for it out of the muck yet

  • insead of revving it man, just gunn it and keep your foot on the gas.

  • believe me that thought has crossed my mind more than once lol

  • sounds nice, love that rotted exhaust sound!

  • ha ha we like it

  • Somedays.........

  • Yea the old people crap them selves when they see me comming. I learned how to drive in NewYork. Got to love airhorns.

  • ha ha dude your my hero... now I have to make a video of going down main street in sidney when i take the grain truck in for feed lol... we like it

  • Yea Tell me about it. I have a C60 dump like yours with a 350 in it and a 76 C30 single rear wheel. After months of fighting with the quadra-junks I put Edelbrock intakes and carbs on them. They now have much more power and seem to get better fuel mileage. It was really worth the money I spent. I use both for my lawn service down here in florida. With the way people drive down here the old C60 sure comes in handy LOL

  • ha ha boo yaa theres nothing like driving a large truck in heavy traffic to make people get out of your way... we like it

  • what carb does it have? the old gm junker or a holly?

  • yeah its got the quadra-junk on it ... those carbs are a bitch

  • chevy and gmc trucks are some of the best trucks ever made next to dodge. and 350 is the best small block ever made.

  • it would be difficult to say that chevy is the best truck ever built or that the 350 is the best small block ever built... as much as I like fords I will never say that they are the best simply because... I have owned quite a wide variety of vehicles with oodles of different motors and theyve all had troubles some from abuse and misuse some from general wear and tear... in retrospect I havent had any worse luck with chevys than I have with fords but its simply a preference... they will ALL break

  • Try electrical tape on your door jam depending if thats whats wrong with the door latching.

  • Im actually not sure what the hells wrong with it to be sure but I have thought about just taking it off... that would fix it too huh lol

  • A new set of rings but help you fouling problem, can't be sure.

  • Im pretty sure its in the heads... not really worried about it though like I said all its gotta do is go from the corrals to the feilds

  • chevy all the way

  • congrads on the new truck!!!

  • Well heck, even despite the little problems u may have with it; at least the truck ran for ya this time :)

  • That's a 350 for ya!

  • yup Im not a big chevy fan but i gotta say when this thing runs it runs really good kinda surprised me it fired up that easy

  • we have a 1968 C-50 with a 13.5 knapheide bed on it, it was orginally a master mix delevery truck,so you can imangine what kind of life it had before, but its very dependable, and still in good shape

  • ours is the 7.5 omaha standard and I wish I could say the same about it... its eventually just gonna rot in peices Im afraid and the 350 is not even close to dependable... but on the other hand it does what it needs to most of the time so I cant complain too much

  • this one has a 4 bolt 350 in it ,was rebuilt about 10 years ago, pulled it out took in , got overhauled, brought it home, got it in started it up.low oil pressure, so they came and pulled it to town, had to pull it out, rear cam bearing, was drove in too far

  • huh nice... this ones never been opened up just threw it in in a hurry to replace the 366 (terrible motor BTW) and have been running it... sort of... ever since

  • this one has a 2 barrel rochester carb on it, its ok, not as good on gas as a quidrajet, but a lot less pain in the ass, im not a real big quadrflood fan

  • yeah quadrajunk is more like it... thats what we have on ours... Ive got a good autolite and a holley both 4 barrels but I kinda want to use those on my 390 projects

  • had a 1986 GMC pickup with a 305 in it, traded off had a 120,000 on it didn't use any oil, the only thing that honestly gave me trouble was the quaid jet carb

  • in my opinionALL carburated gasolines engines can be a pain in the ass, one nice thing about the diesel either it runs or does'nt, non of of this half ass bullshit

  • what really goes wrong in a 366, most people i know who have one, have pretty decent luck with them,

  • weak bottom end and poor head design as i understand never took the time to work on any of the three that puked on me... just replaced them with 350s or 305s... funny I dont know anyone whos got anything good to say about them... guess we're about 50% with the 366 then huh lol
