@Lunatikgixxer well first off its not a ls1 at all... it is the LQ9 6.0 iron block stroked to a 408. Google Texas Speed and Performance. You really decide what you want in your motor. My 408 I had built for a 350 shot of nitrous. However, you can go to all motor setup, or even a forced induction 8:1 setup. I have TSP true duals on now, but this setup in the video was QTP long tubes, QTP catted Y, and SLP Loud mouth with corsa tips

@Lunatikgixxer You lose power because the stage threes are designed for something like a stroker setup 383, 402/408 ect. Its all about having a perfect matching combo when it come to heads and cam for these cars. Too much of one way you can see some loss

@Z29Rcamaro Yeah ls6 head would work on a ls1. you probably would want to go with a cam too when you do your heads, that way your getting the max performance out of them. Also there are many stages of ls6 heads, you probably wouldnt want to go with the stage 3s as you may lose power. The 2.5 heads with a good cam should land you somewhere around the 440-460rwhp range

depends of how far of a motor built you want and what you would prefer as to a all out motor of a blower motor.Personally ive always been a all motor of nitrous but ill kill for a built motor that blown to but only a procharger. I love prochargers.Actually my future setup is gonna be either a lsx 427 with a f1 procharger of a 408strkr with a f1 blower.

I personally love my 408 and have owned a few procharger ls1's (on 7-8 psi). The problem with a procharged ls1 u are only good up to about 10psi with a meth kit on a stock bottom end... My 408 is a nitrous build motor... and I am good for a 400hp direct port shot! it depend on how much power you really want to make...

well and ls1 can not be turned into 408 cubic inches, its just not possible. My 408 is built on the 6.0L cast iron block.

I was going to put a all aluminum stroker 427 in mine but for less money I could do the 408 (6.0) cast iron with all the trimmings procharged and make WAY more power. The Cast 6 is very sweet. Why aren't you running true duels and get rid of the catback. True duels build the most power and torque.

The heads flow decent but not the best!... I would really like to put a set of AFRs or c5R heads on it and see what if would do!! but it is a good head and good for a mild blown or nitrous app.

Those heads are holding you back. You really need a good set of heads, ie Trickflow 235s... and a custom grind cam, screw those off the shelf cams. Not speaking from any kind of experience, ;-)

It is still MAF. I just got it back from the dyno and he dropped the idle down a little more since the motor is getting broke in now....

The cam is not the best street cam, but i am adapting to it pretty well :)
