  • Pretty cool, you should try dxing some pirate transmitters around 6.955, I have also heard some cool high seas telephones operating in usb around 6.900 to 6.999 that are really cool to listen to!

  • @Starbuckin appreciate the tip i'll be sure to keep an eye on those. Have you ever gotten any more around 7045-7055 kHz? i was outside scanning today and found some with a pretty strong signal on the built in antenna

  • @GMSamuelRhine Yeah, 7.000 is the start of the 40 meter ham band, 7.000 to 7.125 is for hams using morse code, rtty (radiotelepype), and other non voice transmissions. There's TONS of code and data there.

  • @Starbuckin oh wow, yeah i heard some psk and such as well but would never expect on this radio because it just uses the regular mode that Commercial stations broadcast on (religious, talk music and such).

    Quite a bit up 7000 was burting with activity though
