Loved it - great job! I actually just started taking singing lessons and my teacher choose this for one of my first songs to practice. It's good to hear it sung by someone as skilled as yourself. At least now I have an idea of what my teacher my be looking for. Thanks!
but honestly, your voice is amazing!! If it's not too much to ask, I would really like some tips about projection.. I'm the president of a Drama Club at my high school in Hawaii, and at my senior year I would really like to do a musical..
Just simple breath support was the biggest hitch I had to overcome when I started singing. Without proper support it's hard to stay on pitch, to sustain a note, use your voice to it's fullest potential, or frankly just to be heard! Try doing scales and other warm up exercises while applying a comfortable yet noticeable amount of pressure to the lower abdomen. Leaning against a kitchen counter works great.
My mother would probably be delighted to see me hang around the kitchens more then the arcades in the afternoon, hahaha. I would like to ask another question regarding vocal transition... I understand that practice makes perfect, and I've tried various practices and techniques in producing a smoother transition as well as stretching my vocal range but I haven't seem to have caught the drift. Can I ask for your opinion on how you practice for your transition?
That break is attacked a lot of different ways... and I am not sure how to express that one... Build up both of the ranges. Do scales in both, and eventually it falls in place I suppose.
Everything falls in place..right. You're absolutely right. There really is no shortcuts are there? I guess I was so entrapped in getting better that I can do something, I forgot about enjoying music at all for what it really is. Thank you so SO very much for the advice.
Excellent rendition. I just got this role in our local production. Hope I can do 1/2 as good.

Great voice and characterization. Choreography a bit overstaged and distracting, however.

I'd say 'sing on the vowels', but that's the great thing about musicals. You can do that kind of thing because it fits your character.
Good job =)
I loved the 'yeahhhhh...' at the end.
