  • I've made Habanero and Scotch Bonnet poppers before, but I keep most of the placenta and seeds intact to keep it super hot. Delicious!

    I'm terrible! Whenever I see a lot of ripe, healthy ones at the store, I'll buy like 20 - 30 of em! Anyone else eats my dust and is stuck with the useless green ones, lol.

  • @AvoineRa1n Hello! Happy you tried a few and enjoyed them. A bit of something here for everyone. I do at times address the holidays, I have few Christmas themed vids (treats) and have addressed Halloween with a pumkin carving. I will continue to do so and try to get more food entrees posted as opposed to the treats.

  • Wow that is great. I made something similar to this spring of last year and it turned out awesome. Just search youtube for "habanero poppers" and the 2nd or 3rd vid should be mine. I might make some more this weekend or next.

  • Holy Moly That Is one hot appetizer! I grow Habaneros every year and could make a lot of batches of these but It would definitely be for more than one person besides myself lol

  • I had some birds eye chilli's once and it said on the packet to wear glove's when chopping etc, anyway i ignored this advice and my finger's felt like they had been scalded by hot water and it never went away for a full week lol, even if i rubbed my eye it would sting my eye, no ammount of washing would remove the residue.

  • @robertgisthebest Birds Eye are a Thai pepper. Not as hot as these though.

    Good point! These peppers (and most) should be prep. with gloves on. Once the oils are your hands it won't come off too easy. (Milk and soap). I don't bother myself with the gloves though (not for a few peppers anyway). The hands may tingle a bit for me but that's about it. Some skin reacts differently. Yep, you do not want to touch many things either. lol

    Great peppers to grow. I do grow peppers myself but I like the Portugese Red Peppers. I have also grown the habaneros and the bonnets. The bonnets can be hotter. cheers Southern! KtC

  • This reminded me of the first time I ate a Scotch Bonnet pepper. First my mouth burned for hours, and then hours after that I was reminded of how hot they were all over again. lol

    Yes they can be a repeater. Best on a full stomach with other foods on top of that. I didn't really have any post-issues myself but I am used to hot foods. cheers! KtC

    Yes a crazy pepper to make a popper out of. There a few recipes though. Most similar to Jalapeño popper recipes with the cheese. There are a few others as this one. I read a jerk type one actually but I had the chili here already that day.

  • @jessicastarr9764 I would go with the typical Jalapeño Poppers (see my vid.). The scotch bonnet are thinned skin and work better with the chili. Plus they are quite a bit smaller. The poppers you can eat a few of. These are best one up! Although I did have three of them (with a bit of bread and beer :D) cheers, KtC
