Loved the documentary based off of Darwin 4. If you haven't heard of it, it is on Youtube. Its called "Alien Planet"..I bet he was so happy when they told him they were doing that. He has such an amazing mind
This man's art and writings makes me so happy. I love Barlowe, I respect him as an artist and he is one of the most influential people in my art. Our styles and interests are very similar. I would strangle another human being if it meant earning a 5 minute conversation with him.
To all of my former art teachers who told me to draw in block/proportion first: Neener-neener, the great Wayne Barlowe himself doesn't draw in block first! Heck, he starts top down and it still comes out in perfect proportion. Perhaps in a couple of decades I could be as good. (Maybe.)
Anyone know which demon this is? I want to say either Sargatanas or Eligor, but am entirely unsure. Especially considering that the former is a bit of a shapechanger...
Very nice piece of sketched artwork and of the creativity he has as an artist. The amount of shading expressed here is excellent and really brought it to life.
This is what his brain sounds like.

@ShasOFish ...hey ShasOFish, It's my opinion he did this as self-porttrait... himself in demon form.

That's some nice pencil work. A little hard to see, but still a pleasure to watch. Good job!
