  • Nice vid... Just got my new beretta 96 inox. The clips are real tight. I know they'll break in a little, but it's almost not enjoyable trying to load at the range. After 5 rounds is the hardest mag I've ever felt. Gonna grab one of these loaders today.... Cheers

  • lol, Dry firing a center fire is harmless and snap caps are just a ripoff..... Rim fire is another matter.....

  • a pocket clip on a glock... SWEET!!!!

  • is it a real gun?

  • @ghalidde yes

  • @ghalidde idiot!!!

  • @ghalidde hell no lol....

  • where did you get the gun itself from please reply

  • Great info hey I have a question do you have g17 because I have one I also have snap caps and correct me if I'm doing something wrong but when I rack the slide at time bullet gets stuck between chamber perhaps I'm ridding the slide or something ihad the gun for 3 month now I got it new tell me what you think about that .

  • @tski007 could be lots of things, if its human error your not racking the slide fast enough when the snap cap is in the chamber when you rack it your similating the gun firing and the slide will ship back fast you must do the same otherwise the extractor wont grab it or pull it out fast enough to hit the ejector right, and it will get stuck...

  • they both had 10 seconds , I guess you are professional mate ..

  • another good thing these are for is having your friends load one or two randomly into mags for when you guys are drilling to simulate a malfunction

  • why would you even own a ten round magizine...

  • @2THROWED4HOZ less weight to lug around on your hip all day. 10 rounds is 5 times more than what you need to get the job done. on topic i like speed loaders. theyre good for practicing ftf drills, have someone load them in random order in your mags or load multiple mags with them at different round counts then practice putting all your rounds on target with a failure fire in each mag,,,,stressful!

  • buy the uplula

  • If my rifle has a fireing pin stop pin does this make it safe to dry fire without a dummy round/snap cap ?

  • Snap caps actually once saved my life, when I was younger, around 18, got my first gun and long story short, if I was using live ammunition, the barrel would have exploded sending shrapnel on all directions, because the slide was not functioning properly.

  • Awesome. I like these Tipton snap caps better than the ones that aren't clear, they make me feel more comfortable.

  • you can get them five dollars less at midway nice prices there.

  • VG, straightforward information

  • Okey, this is probarly a stupid question...

Are those dots on your aiming "dot" and the cape are they glow in the dark?

    Greetings from holland :)

  • @Malcrosternus Thank you so much. I had no clue that the primer was rubber on a zoom.

  • I want to get snap caps for a shotgun. Should I get tipton or a zoom?

  • @RYSE12345

Having both, I recommend A Zoom. No contest. They're made of metal, to mimick the weight of a real shell, and the primer is made of a hard rubber, so that it will go back to it's original shape after being struck and ejected.

  • What brand are these?

  • it may not be faster.. but i bet using the speedloader doesnt kill your thumb so much

  • someones at your door :P

  • that is not "speed loader", its just a loading tool, to spare your fingers, just saying. And really its crap, somewhat flimsy loaded ton of mag's with one.

  • the best thing to do is pick one of these up at a gun show, got 1 of the same brand for $1. its a nice thing to have

  • If you end up getting a universal speedloader get the UpLULA. They can be used for any caliber bullet. My hubby got me one for my birthday and I love it. It is so easy to use. My 12 yo can easily load a magazine with it. I figure it is never too yound to teach gun basics and safety. I've seen the UpLULA's anywhere from $20- $30 plus S&H on ebay. A must for anyone who does a lot of shooting.

  • Yay Glocks everything Glock is better :)

  • i always wanted a glock 17 but this is singapore and of cos i cant buy any D=

  • thats the cool thing about a shotgun easy load

  • would the firing pin even hit the brass "primer" after its been dented in like that? if the pin misses the primer due to wear then the snap caps will be worthless after the dent sets in, then basicly all you have is mag practice/place holders, no firing pin saftey, thus the same as dry fire, i dont know, maybe some on else knows if the pin still hits after its been pounded in.....

  • these are spring loaded snjap caps the primer has a spring behind it so it obsorbs the firing pin so it cna be used over and over even with the dents the firing pin hits the brass every time...but its more for laoding and clearing drills than it is for dry firing...

  • Speed Loaders are for revolvers

the load assist tool is the same for 9mm and .40

  • Thanks for the video. I just bought a pack of these from my local gun ship.

  • what's the difference between using a snap cap and just putting an empty shell casing in the chamber?? Won't that do the same thing? I understand the possible issue with accidently inserting a live round, but beyond that, is there any difference?

  • well a snaop cap will feed properly so can practice loading anew round too, other than that an empty casing is fine but better suited for revolvers or bolt action guns since there is no feeding issues...

  • how did you put the clip for carrying your glock around on your glock

  • its called a clipdraw, its a product you cna buy for like $20...I use a holster these days...

  • joe i hear what your sayin it is outragus but being 14 and havin to go through gun saftey hase taught me stuff most ppl dont no cus addults dont have to do it but the rounds ar so you can familerrise yourself with your gun and it helps alot its also fun =] i used them when i got my shotgun to practis loading and un loading

  • jeff not joe not to be mean but ya jeff not joe

  • I think Snap Caps are expensive.

$15 for five fake rounds made of plastic?!

For the same price you can have a full box of 50 FMJ rounds.

  • it is what it is, for practice at home Ill go with plasticic rounds, lol...but som e guys who reload just take an old shell insert a new bullet and drill a hole in the case, that way yoiu have a real size and weight of a round you cna pratcue with but wont confuse for live rounds..

  • Practicing unloaded will familiarize you with your trigger much better than firing live ammo. You can focus on how steady you keep your sights, while recoil will distract you from what you are doing wrong. The snap caps are reusable.

  • @JoeDurobot Yea, 50 of them you shoot once. Or get 5 for $15 which you can shoot about 500 times.

  • @TimTehPilot You dont need Snap Caps to dry fire modern firerarms.

I can dry fire my gun 500 times without any Snap Cap and for free.

They are good to practice malfunction drills and such, just expensive for what they are IMO but as you just need to buy a couple I guess its worth it.

  • do they make sound the first time?

  • Hey Jeff.

From which websites did you search that maximum capacity in a glock isn't allowed in some states or not?

  • I know from a book made in 2009 about gunh laws across the 50 states...but you cna go to pretty much any site that sells gun magazines like impactguns or try glockpartrs, when looking at the high cap magazines they will list what states have what restrictions...as far as I know off the bat NJ and NJ limit you to 10 rounds...

  • Comment removed

  • NJ and NJ?

  • meanr NJ and NY

  • Did you ever think about getting a tactical flashlight for your glock?

  • is that magazine double stacked? because i shot a glock 17 which has holes in the back of the mag (the ones that show how many bullets are in it) and they were staggered on both sides. your holes are only on the right side

  • thats a 10 round mag, not the normal 17 rounders, I got the 10 ropuynd mags from the previous owner who lived in NY and they have a limit fo 10 roun ds in handguns there...

  • well snap caps are a waste of time and my .12 gauge requires a dry fire after use to take the tension off the trigger spring if you don't dry fire you will damage the gun any way

  • Comment removed

  • Snap caps are a complete waste of time and money.

Dry firing a gun does not damage a firing pin.

About the only use is for training for someone what to do when a round does not fire.

  • most guns cna be dry fired without problem many even require it for dissasembly, BUT most 22 guns can and will be effected if you dry fire extensivly...I use these for a realistic way to pratice trigger pull and different drils in my home when not at the range..

  • The snap cap inserted into the gun does not affect trigger pull.

I cannot speak of all .22s, but Ruger actually says you CAN dry fire the 10/22 right in the manual.

  • what I meant was I like the load the gun as I normaly would and pratcice my trigger pull, I know the cap has nothgin to do withb how it feels or functions, but I carry israeli style so I have to draw my gun, rack the slide then shoot, so I practcie this alot with my snap caps, without them I woudl ahve to do this with no magazine in and its not as authentic to me...also for 22's Im talking about pistols, since 22's are rimfire rounds, dry firing can wear them down or effect how they work...

  • Snap caps are for training purposes. It allows the user to become aware and what to do with a round that does not fire and to use the tap, rack, and fire motion.

  • how come when you shoot, its only single action?

  • Im not shooting live round, a live round woudl cycle the slide as well as reset the trigger...

  • I was wondering if you could talk about different types of ammo. Im new to guns, and wanna learn a lot. Could you explain, what it means to have holotips or hydro shock?

  • hollow points are usually used for self-defense situations because the expand after they penetrate causing more damage than using Fmj (full metal jacket) bullets

  • if I am correct, hydrashock is a type of hollowpoint made by federal ammunition. its a very popular type of HP bullet. like SMT pointed out, HPs cause more damage and are best for personal defense. FMJs are made for target practice. they are cheaper. you can buy a bulk box of winchester 115 gr fmj for about $20.

  • lol u say "..." ALOT like every comment that you reply on u say ... at the end :D

  • Another great use for snap caps is to help train. If you (works best if you have a buddy do it) load your magazine with regular ammunition, put a snap cap somewhere in the stack.

The purpose of this is, when you get to the snap cap, if your anticipating the shot, you'll see your hand jerk, and the sight shake as your squeezing the trigger. It becomes more evident, and easier to see.

My range instructor has done it to me a couple times, and it really helps show how much you anticipate the shot.

  • have u ever had any jams or anything with your glock?

  • I put just over 1000 roudns threough ym gloock since I got it and the only jam I got was with a shotshell which I knew woudl jam because the round doesnt have ebnough power to klick the slide back so it was expected...

  • Snap caps are also really useful for keeping the tension in your firing pin low, so you don't have to replace it as often. They are very common in competition shotguns, i got some in my Beretta whitewing a very good investment that definitely pays off.

  • can you put more than one bullet at a tiem in with a speed loader?like pull down put 5 in and then come up ans be done?

  • not with this type, but some guns that have internal magazines like the sks use clips, you load a row of rounds in the clip and line the clip up and push all the rounds at the same time down into the magazine...

  • AKA Stripper clip.

Didn't know you could get 33 round mags for any handgun.

  • the glock model 18 is a full automatic versiuon thats what the 33 rounders were made for, BUT they do fit perfectly in all the other models that use the same caliber which is also talked about direct from glock, so its not like a rigged job, its specificaly meant to fit...so the 9mm 33 rounder wil fit any 9mm glock models same goes for the larger 40SW mags and longer 45 mags...

  • I was aware of the Model 18 but didnt know the mags were interchangeable. How i envy your ability to own handguns, or your ease to purchase rifles.

  • Tec-9's, Mac-10's, Mac-11's are just some of the things that are considered handguns, all of which have 30 round magazines available.

Otherwise, there are AK pistols, AR pistols..etc.. that are considered handguns...

  • 3 seconds can make a big difference in battle though

  • I doubt anyone carries loose ammo into battle. They carry pre loaded magazines

  • thats not 100% true the New Zealand SAS carry 8 30round mags and about 250-300 rounds of loose ammo.

  • it was a 3 second difference beetween the speed loader and by hand

  • It seems that if the firing pin were to strike metal, it would be prone to damage, than if it were to hit nothing, but I guess these are important for dry firing, so I might as well get some for my .45-70.

  • why do you need to carry a gun. your so cool.

  • I dont carry a gun to be cool, but Im not the only citizen carrying a gun around...My county alone, not my whole state, JUST my county has issued more than 3000 carry permits in the last 5 years...just imagine the state, and across the US, everytime you walk in public theres a guy or lady packing a gun, and its to help you...so dont be ignorant to the world aroudn you...

  • Comment removed

  • i didnt mean like your trying to be cool by carry the gun. i mean that you are a cool guy and i would not think you would have enemies. i am trying to compliment you but i don't know if its coming out they why i want it to sound haha.i live in PA coatesville were there is a lot of shootings , fights, and drug dealing and I understand that you want to be safe and I think that is great

  • Im really sorry then its hard to tell with comments some sound sarcastic, lol, soo sorry then...

  • lol its fine. I know it is hard to tell over the internet so don't worry about it.

  • It's like jerking off your magazine :D

    5 stars

  • what $50 or $15 ?

  • $15...

  • ive just got my glock pistol today and i got 67 snap caps and spped loder

  • I enjoy your vids. Very informative.

  • Thanks for the video Cutlery, i will get me some in the next day or so, thanks again...

    Ed

  • awesome i should get one of these, like i can get 5-6 bullets in with no problem but after that it gets almost impossible

  • i just went and bought two packs of snap caps for my 40cal and 9mm they were almost $16 a pack they are the A-zoom which are really nice to practice with great vid cutlery!!!

  • but you can reuse them

  • i love all you vids man they are all good no very good and

  • nice! 5/5

  • Nice vid.

  • Another great video.

  • can u fire em and if not how will they eject?ime new

  • they dont fire, you pull the trigger and the fring pin hits the back of them to eject them you manually pull tyhe sldie back and they eject like a nomral round...

  • could you make a vid about your revolver? and loading as well

  • cool and cheap xD!

  • oooo ok lol i thought you couldntreuse them lol

  • what is the metal thing on the side of the gun.

  • Its a clip draw, bascially a pocket clip for a gun so you dotn need a holster...

  • ty very cool

  • ...cheap... lol... no way

  • couldn't you just use spent casings in a revolver.

  • yes for revolvers you could...the old spent primer woudl soten the blow and not damage the hammer tip or firing pin, but after a while it woudl make a large enough dent where it woudlnt have any effect so you woudltn want to do it over and over and over for a long time...

  • Thanks for the video. I had no idea what the snap caps were used for.

  • bye da oder loader its abit for expensive but its allot easier to use if u dont now what the heck ime talking about pm me

  • im 19 and have a 45. kimber 1911 and a glock 9mm wich shoild i carry

  • is this glock the glock u carry

  • yes, the glock model 17...

  • glocks are amazing pistols.. they never let u down

  • I think I will be getting some snap caps soon.

  • where could you buy a G17

  • almost anywhere that sells guns in general, glocks are very common and popular...

  • thx

  • 1 can u get like shotgun snapcaps

2 what brand is the g17

3 can u put a silencer on it

  • yes you can get snap caps in all calibers, the G17 is a glock, thats the brand the model is called a G17 the 17 hapens to be the full size frame that shoots 9mm...but glocvks come in 3 different sizes and many different calibers...and yes any glock can use a silencer (supressor) but you need to buy a barel thats longer and is threaded so you can screw the supressor on, the extra barrel woudl cost roughly $100,a supressor would cost more like $400, plus the $200 tax if you want to buy it legally.

  • Great vid, I've always wanted to see how a speedloader works!

On your glock slide, what is that piece of metal? looks like a belt clip lol.

  • can blank guns use these?

  • yeah since the blank rounds are the same diameter as the real ones only difference is there is no load for it to shoot...I woudl gte a universal one though to be sure as apposed to gettign a specific glock model...

  • Why is it important to use a snap cap at all

? Does pulling the trigger on empty chamber damage the firing pin?

  • yes, but more so on other guns, with the glocks it doesnt do all that much damage if any, just better to eb safe then sorry...I mean even if it did damage tghe pin, it cna be easily replaced and is pretty cheap, its just good to get the habit down as it will do more damage in other firearms...like rimfire guns...

  • Glocks are perfectly fine to dry fire. It's in the manual. It's also recommended and nessesary when feild striping and reassembly. Also for trigger pulling pratice.

  • your gun sure is squeaking alot do yuo lubricate it at all? SI (silicon) gun lube found in airsoft and paintball shops works great for that it helps stop mechanical parts from rubbing together and filing eachother out like motor oil does for cars

  • The squeek is from the recoil spring, not the slide rubbign on the rails...

  • the only difference between a snap cap and a blank is that the blank makes the noise but you can use the snap cap again rite?

  • yes a snap cap cna be used over and over again, a blank is used for thatre for a realistic shooting effect, its basically a bullet without the bullet in the end, lol, in tojer words its a bullet case with a primer, just no powder or bullet to exit the gun...

  • thanx

  • if you have to be a collector to have a switchblade how do u become one

  • how do you get it new?

  • hey where did u get that gun?

  • I got it at a local gun shop lightly used for $420...

  • Thanks

  • I guess you ddint watch the video? By hand it took me 11 seconds watch 4:27 - 4:39...

  • wud u do a vid of u shooting the snap caps plz

  • he just did at the end.

  • hey cutlerylover would you do a review on the blackjack grunt

  • I always wanted to get a glock, but got my GF a guitar instead and im showing her how to play. I never used a actual speed loader, but all my .308 comes with stripper clips except my hunting rounds. But the stripper clips work pretty well for me.

Thanks for making the awesome vids so slow :) It lets me keep up since ive been so busy :p

    Great vid Jeff

  • Cutlery lover where are you!!!!?????

It's been a whole six days since you've added a new video!

J/k. Keep up the great vids.

    5/5

  • what do u prefer for an edc

  • could you please do a review on the coldsteel Rajah 1 or 2

    great videos

  • I dont own one to review, but I will review it down the road if I geta hold of one...

  • thanks man

  • Hey Jeff,

It's a really nice vid, really informative. I like your vids because you really try to go into details and give as much info as possible.

Oh, and don't worry about the price I live in Ireland a 9mm Glock is cost you around 1000 USD...

  • big boy toys !!

  • Great video bud. I don't even own a Glock and I love watching your vids on your Glock.

    Great stuff!

  • Very informative, I learn so much here, ROCKS@!

  • Hey could you tell me how much you paid for you're glock and how much ammo cost? Shooting my deer rifles cost to much and the lower calibers are getting boring.

  • He said it cost him 420$ for the glock used, but new ones are roughly 500$-550$.

  • is the camera mounted to ur head? lol, kwl vid btw

  • i hope you were joking.

  • lol y would u watch a video called "Gun Stuff : Snap Caps & Speed Loaders" then??

  • hey retard u said "guns are gay" i mean cmon if guns are gay why would you watch this video? to start somethin retarded?

  • are you proud to be... gun lover?

  • lol go play with your little blocks or somethin kid

  • yes, depends on the gun though

  • awsome

  • I heard 2 story's on 'snap caps': 1) They should have a soft cap 2) They should have a hard cap

I'm more the 'story 2' believer.

After a soft-cap has been dented for a couple of times, doesn't the pin stop reeching the bottom of the cap? (Slamming noting)

A hard-cap never get's dented, while the spring takes care of the 'trigger-pin' load.

It's verry possible i'm wrong. After 15 years of shooting i'm still learning!

Really nice of you to take the time of making und uploading these videos!

  • Nice video Jeff. I'm glad you enjoy your Glock!

  • i love this guys vids about weapons and tools nd stuff. So cool =)

  • Not sure about "speedloader", but "thumbsaver" to be sure.

  • Oops... I see that others have said the same thing.... Well, I did learn something though.... I never knew about a "clipdraw"... Interesting...

  • Another good video. As always you're very thorough with your hobbies. As for the carry state of the firearm discussion. I don't know a single firearms instructor that advocates carrying a pistol without a round in the chamber (not that I know them all). Regardless I'm sure your method works for you and with proper training the time you loose from operating your slide will be very little. A suggestion (if you're not doing it already) practice doing it one handed.

  • sweet! can u get sanp caps for shotguns?

  • Yes, they're available at most gun shops.
