I usually listen to heavy music, but I absolutely love Alphaville and this song is one of my favourites. It's a great example that pop music doesn't need to be simple and can have some deeper thought in it. The lyrics are also very good.

Alphaville had their time. Watched them live in late 90's and it was a major disappointment. Besides having poor technical equipment they mainly played new songs and those were very far from the standard of the 80's music.

But this surely is one of their absolutely best songs and I like it a lot. Very underrated song.

The actor in the video is Noah Taylor. He is well-known in Australia but not so much overseas. His breakthrough film in Australia was 'The Year My Voice Broke', which is about the time this video was made. The video is shot in Melbourne, Australia. I recognise the streets. He is riding in a tram at some stage. Noah Taylor was also in 'Shine', which won Australian actor Geoffrey Rush an Academy Award, even though Noah Taylor played the lead role in half of the film as a younger version of Rush.
