Teeth with Overbite of 100%

I totally know what u mean and I'm 12 too. I'm getting treatment soon I have a bad overbite and I have a slight overjet too. I'm either getting invisalign or braces but I'm not severe enough for surgery.

@SariDee87 If I recall, I had close to a 100% overbite, crowding on my lower teeth, and some spacing on my upper, as well as my arches needing to be widened. I've currently got Invisalign - I just started my refinements a week ago.

I had 24 upper and lower trays. For my refinements I've got 14 upper and lower.

It does work.

If you're still unsure, you can go to an orthodontist who provides Invisalign and get a consultation. Mine was free.

yeah. I naturally have small bottom teeth and bigger top teeth, and I just had my herbst app. taken off. and my ortho told me I still, and most likely always will have a slight overbite.

Looks like Invisalign is worth it if you have the money and don't want to deal with the pain that Braces bring.

I had an overbite - I got braces and the Herbst app. and now It looks a lot better. I still think it could use a little improvement though.

Thing is - if you have big top teeth and smaller bottom teeth - you'll naturally have a bit of an overbite unless you have jaw surgery but it really isn't too noticeable so long as your teeth are straight.

what is jaw surgery? it sounds bad.

Its when either your bottom teeth is in front of your top teeth,(underbite), or when your bottom teeth are behind your top teeth(overbite). Your teeth are supposed to be straight in line with bottom and top. I'v an overbite so am getting surgery to move the jaw forward so they'l b in line. :D

ok i had braces 2 yrs ago and it fixed my overbite aswell. i wore my retainers all the time doing everything my orthodontist told me to do. i still wear my retainers every night, but my orthodontist told me i could skip some nights, so i only skipped like 5 altogether this yr, but now i think my overbite is coming back. its not a big one, you could barely tell by looking at me but i could feel it with my tongue when i close my mouth.....

hi i have bad overbite and its causing alot of pain recently in my jaw my teeh have shifted recently i can feel it. do i need bracers and if so will they remove teeth? ( it looks like i have space but my wisdom teeth are jus starting to spout ) thank you for your concern

Retainers are usually not included unless if the first one is given as courtesy. since everyone is different we recommend to wear retainers every night for as long as possible.

@alexzracer2008 - We advise patients to wear them since teeth tend to move back to where they were. There are two types of retainers... Removable and lingual bonded retainer (back side of the tooth). Lingual bonded retainer is fixed and can not be taken out... it is not visable when the patient smiles or talks so it is esthetically good.

I was diagnosed with an overbite this week and you have to have surgery and braces. It wont work well if you just have one method. You gotta do both procedures and have the money.

I probaly should had surgery then. I got braces when I was 15 for my overbite ( and my incisors pointed foward (hideous), I still have overbite and my bottom front teeth are pushed back.
