@T1ger8oi the males produce pods of pollen. cant smoke that, so thats why you get rid of them, only the females have the buds that we can smoke.

how many plants will a 250w hps grow well. Im finding that the more bushy the plants are the less i can fit under one lamp. I seem to be strugling to cover more than one plant with a 250w hps. I guess 250 is only for small plants is you have serveral nad one if it is large and bushy.

Seems like alot of people have questions of germination. one of the major parts of germination is temperature, you want to have a const temp between 17-25 degree's C. Another thing. You really don't want to put them in a cup of water like this guy did. You can actually drown your seeds and kill them before they even have a chance. Best method i find is paper towel + plate method, it usually takes 1-2 days with paper towel + plate method.

actually just soaking them over night then the paper towel trickworks great for mei use an old dvd case though and place it by my lights so it gets all that heat without damaging the stems

seeds can B germinated within 24 hrs some take up 2 a week perhaps 8/10 days. most of mine within 24/48 hrs. place on damp tissue in warm dark place, when u see little white tip, no matter what size then plant. lack of water? depends on what your medium is, how much of it there is, pot size & how much water it holds & of course what stage of the grow or flower plants are in. if u have to leave em set up a timer pump & tank or if in ground tell sum1 to water. if in pots leave trays under pots

Camcam, males dont put out buds. And they are only going to contain 1-2 percent thc in a plant. Which is nothing when a females bud depending on the strain can be anywhere from 14-50% roughly. Males are for making seeds mainly. They are useless essentially. You don't also need a flowering room you can just change the lights and light cycle. But a flowering room or lights are needed to get the bud correct. Males should be killed period.

My main statement I would like to add...why in the hell would you want to take clones off a plant you have no idea what the sex is?? In other words, wouldnt it make more sense to grow your ORIGINAL plants under an 18/6 light schedule and have those plants display their sex naturally and with time?? Under this light schedule, you CAN tell what the sex is within 2 months. Why take a wild chance doing the way THIS "grower" does????

Obviously he wants to be sure of his male/females because he doesnt want to waste time even throwing them in the flowering room. Obviously he put the clones in the FLOWERING ROOM and not the VEG room so they could grow fast(alot faster than they would under 18/6) so he could determine the sex faster than he would be able to while they were VEGGING....

@mylittlenoori Feminised seeds have a tendancy to change to male plants if stressed. I buy regular seeds, pack of 10 or 12, then i germinate them all. if you can, take a health male an grow it AWAY from your females. when the male matures and the pollen sacs start to open, tie bag around the plant, pull the plant and turn it upside down and let the pollen collect in the bag. Pollinate your mother when you want to grow something else. collect the seeds and you have that strain to grow whenever.
