Went to see them once in Tampa. Concert was billed as the Turtles opening for Bob Seger. Turned out to be an all acoustic concert with the Electric Leech and Eddy. Sucked. Most disappointing concert I have ever attended. Seger was fine accoustic
Thanks so Much......I'd Never seen this!! My good friend grew up down the street from one of them. She didn't think it was a "big deal" until she saw them on TV. THEN it was a Big Deal.
@BradinPhilippines 1967 is regarded as one of the greatest years of music. The doors making it big with light my fire. beatles released sgt. pepper... and magical mystery tour. the who were doing well. and thats just to name a few. 67' was a great year.

oh the memories...living in Albuquerque, late 60's..dating military men from the base there..falling in love, playing in Roosevelt Park..dances, parties in the Sandia Mountains...what a time that was.
@azerty7889 They are not all that much like the Beatles. Not all their songs sound like this. A lot of 60's bands were INFLUENCED by the Beatles, and that's not a bad thing.
@Boeing744andRCAquad I just mean, look how they behave in this clip, it's like the beatles behavior in the beatles for sale -hard day's night-help period. Well you know what I mean.
I would have dated every member of this band. Everyone was so beautiful in the 1960s. And they just look so carefree and wonderful. I don't know if it was really all like this, but I like to think it was. People were happier then and seemed more carefree. No technology hangups. I want to go back there.
@wouldntyoulike2know People and life in general was just as you described it. The 60's were great and wish I could go back. Actually I wish everyone could experience it. Have a great day and enjoy the music. PS check out the Mamma's and Papa's if you haven't already.
I love this video, and now this group is even more appealing to me than ever before. I appreciate this music, and I was born in 1985. Also, the guy in the navy blue vest (especially at .48) looks like the actor Jonah Hill! Hahaha!
Thats ' when I let my hair grow.......and it's been long ever since,.........a little thinner and salt and pepper-like and people want me to cut it....fuck you!!!!
Mark Volman, the Jonah Hill of Rock and Roll... I love this group and go on Eleanor jags several times a year, playing endlessly cuz it's just too damned short and because they're the only group to rhyme et cetera...
OK to @uscsucks01 I don't know if your dad is Al Nichol, probably not, "cause if he is you would know like almost everybody else that Bonner-Gordon wrote the song for their band The Magicians. Last I heard Bonner is working at a small record store in NJ, somewhere. So sorry to burst you faint cry for attention in the crowd..."No Soup For You".

hahahahah there so gay x) they'd probably be my favorite band, them seem to be like a really weird kind of people not following the bandwagon all the time
I am proud that the Turtles are fellow Chicagoans like myself. They came from my part of town and were all over the charts at the time and were regaled proudly as hometown boys. I never liked Flo and Eddie, just the Turtles though.
@betabloca OOPS, my bad, I assumed that since the group came out of Chicago that they were born there, although, technically the group surfaced out from there! Sorry for assuming -
