the movie ending was very very disappointed, as usual,the director put a b....h with Shane, how can Jon be friend with Shane after the sex,he just used him,even gay have moral,Jon wasn't that type of guy, Shane messed up really bad with Jon,i felt so sad, also Jon started to loose all he made for his studies as failed on last test,really sad.

This movie was based on a book and according to book, both guys had feelings towards each other... they cut it pretty sharply at the end, I was pretty sad actually. I thought at least they would know their true feelings but an open ending was okay, too, I guess

I've seen this movie more times than I would like to admit, and I don't believe that Shane slept with Johnathon to keep him from leaving. Shane had no idea that Johnathon was in love with him, he doesn't find out until the last 5 mins of the movie. Shane slept with him because that's what HE wanted to do. Johnathon assumed that Shane would not share his feelings, when the reality was that he felt the same way. Carrie figured out Shane's feeling which was why she was crying in her dark room.
