  • nice form dude, why the hell did u stop?

  • navy seals website has 11 recommended 6 minimum, if you can do the rest of it, i think this sort of comes with the territory (gogo 80 pushups/situps in 2 minutes!)

  • lol my uncle was in the military and when i showed him doing pullups at a 90 degree angle he's like "those aren't real pullups!" and he said i had to go all the way down and all the way up, so i guess that is what they do in the military

  • Seal is 11.

Russian Spetsnaz is 18+ with 10 kg attached to your belt.

  • @janroucax man r u real, where did you find that??, well I know those men are tough but so many?

  • Whaaaaaaaaaaat the crap. Who would give this bad rating? These pull ups are 100% sexy.

  • Go to the seals website dumbasses, it is six but that is the minimum, they have what is called a competitive repitition, which is 11. This is also what they make you do before you ship out to basic and buds etc. Which means at the end you are going to need to be able to do a hell of a lot more than six... use your brains people

  • youve got to do 6 of these in the navy SEALs training with no time limit

  • No way, its probably way more than 6. At MEPs, they had a pull up station in the office and made us do 3 otherwise we couldn't ship out. To score 100% on the PFT we needed 20 dead-hang pull ups, no swinging or kipping. If you swing or kip the repetition doesn't count. Apparently you only needed 3 to pass the PFT but our killhats told us the minimum was 15 so we all would do more

  • On Wikipedia it says 6 dead hang pull-ups

  • @haykier11 Wikipedia isnt always right. 6 dead hangs isnt really anything, especially for something like the SEALs

  • @wilsontc10 - I no yea but im just going with what Wikipedia says. And yea the Navy SEALs is one of the most elite forces in the world.I bet it's wrong.Sorry if I offended you mate.

  • Wikipedia also says that to become a scoutsniper and score 100% you need 20 deadhang pull-ups...

  • honestly a pullup is not a pullup unless you can do the dead-hang which in my opinion is not as hard as most people think. BUT then again I'm in my prime time at the age of 18 so I guess they would be pretty easy eh? lol

  • got to e really stong to do that

  • I have yet to see any pullups where the arms are straight and horizontal to the plane of the floor. After I gained weight I haven't been able to do any so i have been on the lookout for visual aid to talk about how great i once was.

Anyone have any clips up of those ones? One arm pullups are boring... Never ever managed more than 2...

  • How about you just lose the weight and then show people in person how you can do them.

  • Should you always do dead hangs? I mean does dead hang = perfect form?

  • If you are working on strength, then dead hang is the way to go. If you are doing endurance, then kipping is good.

  • Good form bro. I got 20 on my PFT last saturday, all dead hangs.

  • wow lol im a female and i want to enlist in the marines

  • dont listen to that triangle1 guy. you are doing them perfect in this video. he just told you to do it his way cuz thats how he does it cuz that way he can quadroople up his max pull-ups.

  • why do you think you see a lot of women doing kipping pull ups because they are easy why do you think they arent allowed in the Marines because its pussy shit although it does help out in some circumstances but if u can do a dead hang pull up u can easily do a kipping one

  • I think most women in the Marine Corps only have to do the flexed arm hang for 70 secs to get a perfect score of 100 points

  • whats the difference between a dead hang pull up and a regular pullup

  • dead hangs you go all the way donw and pull-ups you go half way

  • woww

  • i cant really give a shit

  • Sweet, at least i found a video where a person actually makes real pull ups-- Cheers mate keep up the good work.. i mean it!!!!

  • Dead-hangs are not more "real" than kippping pull-ups. Kipping pull-ups generate more power, use more musculature, and require more energy. For this reason they are more appropriate for endurance circuits. If you just want to work on the strength of your back, shoulder girdle, and biceps, then by all means, do deadhangs, but to denegrate kipping as "cheating" or in some way less than beneficial is not appropriate.

  • whooooa taken out of context there bro.. Are know all forms og Pull ups.. Trust me (check out mine if you believe) I never said kipping pull ups are cheating you said that said that...

im sorry if posting a cheerful comment got you in any way mad/angy or overly defensive of something i never wrote or implied.. My comment (For the record) Was aimed at all the videos i see where people never extend there arms... Try reading the whole comment before jumping to conclusion or implactions!!!!

  • My bad dude, I apologize, I definitely jumped the gun there.

  • Kipping is cheating. Nothing more, nothing less. There's a reason kipping is disallowed in the military. It's a crutch.

  • Is doing a clean a crutch because you could of done a reverse curl? That's basically what you're saying.

  • @disquieted not cheat, just a different form, are crunches cheating on sit ups? no

  • nvm what i was going to say
