  • It's however amazing how Toronto airport ( pearson ) is such a small airport compared to other places such as Amsterdam , Paris and other airports in the world

. You would think that the 5th biggest city in North America would have something bigger than that. But I guess it's enough for what we need.

  • woohoo sudbury!

  • - Thankfully, I was able to fly out of the old YYZ terminal 1 (Aeroquay 1 when it was built) back in 1999 for the last time. This was the first thing that I saw when I arrived as a child in 1972. It almost breaks my heart that it is now gone, and there are so few videos & picks of it. Thank you for this video - Truly!

  • Some amazing footage there, not just the aviation stuff but Canada too. Drove through Wawa and Sault Ste Marie en route Vancouver to Toronto (in four days - nightstopped in Banff, Peg, T Bay).

  • TransAir? This must be old.

I used to work at Terminal 1 on and off from the late 1980s until it closed in 2004

Yea, it was too small a terminal. The new one is really nice.

  • I hope Terminal 3 gets renovated and Terminal 1 is expanded soon. That's would be SICK.

  • I remember flying out of Terminal 1 in the summer of 2002 just before they tore it down. It was hot, crowded, dirty and smelled funny inside. A far cry from the early days!

  • I seem to remember it was hot, crowded, and smelled funny back then too!

  • @nickmctrick that sounds like every public place to me, ha ha.

  • @nickmctrick

I miss that Terminal! Something cozy about it still.
