  • your alway's a great help!

  • The exercises were good-but the demonstrator had a few faults! thegrand plie's were not good, heels not going down early enough!keep at it thou.

  • *professionally?

  • I'm 15 right now and I started dancing when I was 14. I couldn't stand dancing last year but I miss it now. It's too late to sign up for a dance class this semester and I will probably sign up for one next semester since I've learned to adore ballet. I get up at 5 every morning to do ballet because that's the only time of the day I have time to do it. What I'm asking is I'm in love with ballet and I know I'm a very very very late starter but do you think there's any hope that I could do this pr

  • @mrsbubblegum481 maybe as long as you work your butt off and take as many classes as you can a week.

  • I practice Karate, and I think ballet has the best exercises for flexibility and leg control. It's just amazing. If you had the control, the strenght and the flexibility of a ballet dancer, your kicking technique would be perfect.

  • im still in highschool and im about to start teaching classes at my studio for youger girls. this video really helped me with the basics of barre for beginners. everyone making negative comments are just bored and can take their criticism elsewhere.

  • horrible. this is not classical ballet.

  • Im 16 and im about to start grade 5, however im crashing it and i know it'll be hard, im starting in august and im going to do these streches until then, hopefully they help me alot! Thanks!

  • @MeLavsGlee you dont mean the 5th grade do you lol just kidding

  • @dlayne10499 Haha!

  • il tallone del piede deve essere più ruotato

  • i'm start ballet soon, i cant wait til i can do the barre and the splits

  • @MultiPearl007 well, you have to do barre. it's not something you get to do depending on your skill. and center work is SO much more fun!

  • this actually helped me alot. :D thank you.

  • shes beautiful!!

  • this is what i do at the barre all the time

  • her port de bras and her fifths... are... just. ridiculously.. bad.. no offence..

  • @roxyluvagirl your spelling of offense is also.. just. ridiculously... bad.. no offenSe

  • @100kattysam er. no, cuz its called different spellings.===== american and british.=== duh. smart.

  • Gosh stop complaining. Why are you guys even commenting?? I'm looking at this because I would like to take ballet classes and want to learn some stuff before I go and get flexible, so this video was very helpful.

  • @Yuffie3982 people who don't dance very well and have no formal dance training? :-P

  • I love how her feet aren't perfectly at 180 turnout and shows how many novices and non dancers would look in 5th position doing it....

  • thank you for showing this. I've thought of taking a beginner adult class for something different and this helps explain alot to a complete novice.

  • I love ballet

  • I wanna be that flexibel !!!

  • when it becomes second nature, then the mind can achieve realization in the art.

  • I really hope that was not supposed to be the student's first position at the begining of the video. Turn outs are supposed to be from the hip not from the ankle, and she could use a little more work on her arabesque. Other than those things, good video.

  • this is great for a beginner like me-you do a really good job of these moves. i thank you for posting. i'm 63-i don't know if i can really master what you did but darnit i can try. thanks for posting!!

  • @dogcat126 dont give up, ive been going to class twice a week for 6 months and its great improvement from just watching to knowing where my feet suppose to go, do look too poise but ill work on that

  • you click your tongue alot.

  • Oh my gosh, stop being so picky! If you know what she meant to say or do there's no reason to criticize. I would like to see you post a video. I think you did fine and helped me understand the basics. Thanks!

  • @kakelly86 ~just adding to your comment~ also it is hard to keep all these componets in mind and actually performing them....awsome job

  • pas du tout intéressant ! et mauvaise élève !

  • that is a horribly sloppy grand plie...

  • i was disappointed at her 5th position... :\

  • umm she is sitting in her grand plie`

  • Thank you for posting this nice, brief overview of barre warm-ups!

  • I really love you videos but i have to comment on the pronunciation, for example degagé is not pronounced deg-eh-jey but deg-ah-jay sorry but my ballet teacher is very strict about pronunciation and the correct French terminology. However I did enjoy the video a lot.

  • it's not coupey, it's coupeh - perhaps learning the French pronounciation would help the video? No?

  • that was good...
