  • Lol I thought the guy in the red shirt at 31-34 sec. Was gna plug his ears cuz the note was going pretty high

  • I wish you "ABADACADABRA"!!!!!!!!!!!! you sound really bad!

  • What's with the horn? I thought that was a brass instrument.

  • @Mafila A french horn is a wind instrument. The group is a wind ensemble quartet, meaning 4 people play wind instruments. Clarinets and bassoon would be consider wood winds. :-) Just a little insight for ya.

  • I think the oboe player was swelling her cheeks too much, but she does have fairly good control.

  • how can I get this music for my woodwind quintet?

  • flute,oboes,basoon and french horn

  • I MISS Harry Potter. Hu Hu Hu. :, (

  • the french horn is classified as a wind instrument because is requires WIND to play it as all brass instruments do.

  • @DragonHeart549 yes but that is not precisely why they are in woodwind quartets. the french horn is a very versitile instrument sure its brass but its sound is such that it fits quite weell in a woodwind quintet

  • Whoo! Bassoon supports the whole wind quintet! Bassoon FTW! <3

  • Woodwinds are called so because of them historically being made solely out of wood. Wind instruments are all instruments in the band that use wind blown by the player to make a sound, such as the trumpet, baritone, flute, oboe, saxophone, etc. Hence typically a higher band being called a WIND Ensemble.

  • this was great! i think thats an oboe on the left side next to the flute, oboe is very fun to play:)

  • Nice job. I love the combination of the instruments and the sound they make.

  • I didn't know Harry can play the Bassoon, surprisingly, he's good.

  • holy shit that guy has a bassoon!

  • lol how is it a WIND quintet if there is a french horn

  • @viraldank french horns are often paired with woodwinds....

  • @viraldank a wind quintet indicates there are no strings or percussion it's not a woodwind quintet

  • @viraldank wind implies there are no percussion instruments or string instruments. Wind are instruments that air is blown through. Woodwind instruments are instuments that tend to be made out of wood, or use reeds. Brass instruments are made from brass.

  • @bvhfdjva they are all wind instruments

  • @bvhfdjva

    No they aren't

the horn (french horn) is a brass instrument.

    What are you on? O_O

  • @MusicChrisis I play a brass instrument and it is a wind instrument b/c wind is blown through it. Woodwinds and brass are both wind instruments. Also, you don't have to be rude about it.

  • @MusicChrisis Yes French Horns are brass..But you're thinking that the're calling them woodwinds...All instruments that require air to be blown through them for a sound are called "wind" instruments.."Woodwinds" consist of clarinets, flutes, bassoons, oboes, etc. and "Brass" consist of trumpets, horns, euphoniums, etc....So technically, the are right (I've been in band for 8 years)

  • @bvhfdjva The French Horn isn't wind, it's brass.

  • @sweeetsxoxo woodwind and brass are subcategories of wind instruments. I've been playing the trumpet for about 5 years now. Don't believe me? Instead of arguing with people you don't know, google it.

  • Gold

  • Is his bocal

  • Oh cool. I could swear that we have the same sheet music at our school that we did for a concert

  • This works so nicely...

  • That oboe is amazing. I've never wanted to hear more woodwinds before lol

  • OK. I sometimes her people say oboe when it's a bassoon, but a PICCOLO??!!?!?!

  • Called one of the bigger woodwind instruments one of the smaller instruments...

  • Woo! Go Harry potter! I love this! :D

  • GO OBOES!!!!!!!!!!!

    love harry potter!! <3

  • @DeathEater1568 Bassoon

  • @DeathEater1568 i dont mean this offensively but you were way off...piccolos are essentially tiny flutes only 5 to 6 inches long, if my estimate is right.

  • @gsmaestro

I would love it get this sheet music for my woodwind quintet! How do I do that??

  • sounds very authentic. awesome:)

  • Hi! just to let you know, I sent you a PM about the sheet music for this, that my quintet group would love:) thanks!

  • can i have the sheet music 4 this

  • Can I get sheet music for this?

  • i sound really stupid but why is there a french horn in there.

  • @nocontest23 you don't sound stupid, lots of people usually wonder that, even when they actually are a professional player (trust me, I know lots of these). the french horn gives a kind of bass, mellow sound, like the tuba usually does. Even with the bassoon being as low, or lower, it has a narrower sound due to the double reed. The french horn also blends with the quintet sound better than any other brass (other brass, in my opinion, are too piercing in sound, especially the trumpet).

  • This is so amazing! Is there anyway you could put up the link to sheet music? Or something?

hah, or at least say you're not going to tell us. n__n

    It'd be greatly appreciated.

  • great arrangement. What compelled you to arrange it for this group of instruments?

  • @Kachukeland I was asked to arrange this for children's concerts by a friend who plays in a wind quintet.

  • @gsmaestro cool. So, did you do this by ear? Or did you have a score? I really liked the elements you chose to put in the arrangement, each instrument feels "at home"

  • @Kachukeland As much as I wish I could have whipped this together by ear, I based it off the orchestral score.

  • @gsmaestro

Is this published anywhere? I would love to get a copy for my quintet!

  • @gsmaestro I would also love to get a copy of your incredibles quintet as well

  • @Kachukeland A friend of mine in a wind quintet asked me to arrange it for some children's concerts.

  • @gsmaestro lol, yeah, you told me that 3 weeks ago (look above)

good to see your story is consistent, haha :)

  • epiiiicness! go bassoon!!! (or faggot ;))

  • I LOVE THE VIBRATO ON THAT OBOE!

Thank you for showing me that it can sound amazing!

  • Would it be possible to get the sheet music for this? I would like to play this for our own woodwind quintet.

  • this is also sooo awsome, any pdf sheets available??? :D :P

  • Anyway that I can get the sheet music for this?

  • Um.....Why is it that I am hearing the horn player...but the horn isn't being played by the horn player?

  • @TheMusicmanMB that's probably the bassoon

  • @TheMusicmanMB Haha the horn player's playing, just can't see it very well cause of the color of the horn and the lighting.

  • Totally feel like watching the first harry potter now :D

  • omg. I jizzed. AMAZING O_O

  • awesome thats what i play

  • what was the first instrument that played?

  • It's the oboe that first plays the main theme.
