I TOTALLY THOUGHT THIS!!! I mean, that like the scene in this movie was VERY similar to space channel 5. The main reason is that the dancing crowd is being led by her, like Ulala leads the ones she rescues, unlike in most musicals when everyone dances for no reason. I love that someone else made this connection also! :D

That song is actually called "Love will Keep us togther" By Captain and Tennille. It was my favorite song when it came out for like a year or two. And I tend to not like gusshy love songs. Ben Forster is cute and all but this clip does not come off as Space Channel 5 unless Ben was strutting too.

This isn't a cover. Vitamin C lipsynched to Toni Tenille's voice on the track. It was intended for her to record an actual cover for the soundtrack, but the director and producers liked what they had and left it the way it was.
