Been NOT A TYPICAL PUNK BAND, the GREAT Alley Cats was one of the best old school punk bands ever!!! For real, they were UNIQUE!!!

The greatest power punk trio ever. From their super, super, tight cover of the Stones "Under my Thumb" to their raucous cover of "Summertime Blues" to unbelieveable originals like "Licorice Cats" (MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG EVER)and "Angel Dust".

You will never hear a more intense, powerful,emotional guitar solo than the one from this song...EVER. I still get goose bumps when I hear it.....

God, I miss this band.

I saw them open for 999 in Lawrence , KS, 1980 I think. Such a treat when a support band you haven't heard of blows you totally away!!

I saw them in 1979 at teh San Clemente Community Center with the Go Gos, when they were ugly punk rock chicks who rocked. Great show.
