I saw a fixed nutmeg once. It was supposed to have mercury in it; but it was inside a very large ball of really hard sealing wax. not candle wax, but the sealing wax. The lady who had it said she had kept it like that for 11 years.

My great grandmother used to make these...but she used the mercury! :( Glad to see there is someone out there teaching a safe way to do these things!
