I think Wayne's grown significantly as an artist since the Hot Boyz disbanded... but he's lyrically light years behind Joe Budden. Joey's without a doubt a top 20 dead or alive lyricists. Lil Wayne's a fad.
Im a fan of both. But a better comparison would be to put Da Drought series against the MM series. Both are classic mixtape series. Both weez and joe beezy are goin in. Im a budden internet soldier but i disagree wit ppl that say wayne is wack. Wayne is dope but what he represents is wack. He gets lumped in(rightfully so) wit the wack ringtone rappers(gucci,soulja,mims,etc) but he has talent, flow and skill. Again, i prefer Budden but much respect to weezy. disagree then go listen to im a beast
