Sydney Hailstorm Supercell 14th April 1999 ( taken at Shellharbour )

Is this the storm that took out the eatern suburbs?... if so I was living in hurstville at the time watching it roll in and giggled at the poor sods who were just about to cop it. I had only moved to hurstville from Botany the year before. While watching it I thought it would be quite nasty as the grey clouds turned black with green all thru them. I had family n friends who were still living in the eastern subs and lost everything. It was beyond nasty. I soon stopped giggling.

looks like a supercell.....if this was kansas...that would be a tornado forming. look at the funnels coming out of the cloud (probably a down draught).

The CGs must have been intense.The thunder from them is absolutely awesome! Great structure by the way.
