just not really a fan of clip on bars but like the stock bandits, yzf's, vf800's, etc. either way, it's your bike and great job making it your own. sounds SICK! and it looks like it was done very tastefully.

Nice USD forks, are they from a busa? Are you using the stock bandit wheel and calipers? Does the extened swing arm make up for the shorter forks?

gsxr 01 front: wheel, forks, brakes

bandit rear wheel, I added 2 in to the arm so the rear wheel would be flush with the tail, thanks

did you put an 1200 bandit engine in your 1100 gixer? i'm just planning to implant a bandit cylinder set in mine. doesn't it reduce compression and so hps?

yes, the bandit is a 1157cc and has lower compression, you have to mill your head or change pistons to bring it back up, thanks.

it's done now, with 1157 bandit cylinders (incl. pistons and rings), but with the stock gixer cylinder heads, ignition, crankshaft, etc. it may be that the compression is less than stock now, but the bike feels so much stronger, spectacularly in the higher rev regions (above 7k). maybe it's because the original pistons were so worn-out, that the compression was even below the bandit's, maybe it's the gixer heads that give the same compr. still... but it runs great now anyways!
