@navioascott It is best to keep an open mind and heart and search that way. The hadiths are very different in their authenticity or interpretations, the Quran is what you should focus on and the miracles therein. Remember if you go to a site which is in favour of disproving any religion you are going to recieve very bias info, look at the fundamentals of a religion and the beauty of it. Beware of propaganda. But if you do not believe that is your choice, and that is a gift entrusted to us all

@navioascott The prophet also couldnt read but when the Angel Jibreel came to him and said read and he replied he couldnt read. the angel jibreel asked him again and his reply was the same. This happened a couple of times and after time the angel jibreel grabbed him and he was able to. So who's to say that the Angel Jibreeel didnt come to aid him in writing something. That could definately be the case since it was on his deathbed. Nice question tho. I will definately inquire about it.

@navioascott Found the answer my friend. If you notice he asks Umar to come over so he can write something. If he needed to write something he couldve written it and they couldve have seen it later. However he was asking Umar to come to him so he could write it. The reason is because Umar was going to write the question for him. The prophet (pbuh) would have a scribe with him, a close companion. The prophet also is said to have authored many treaties however he had a scribe write for him. 1/2

@navioascott . 2/3..Also as related to me in by a scholar today, The arabic usage at the time was such that if i were to command you to take a sign and place it next to me, i would say i moved the sign becuase it was done by my command even tho you moved it. That is just the usage of the arabic. Common sense would say that if the prophet wanted to write something he wouldve done it. He wouldnt have needed Umar to come to him to write it. Similarly treaties written by the prophet were actually

@navioascott 3/3 written by his scribe such as Ali. but in the usage of arabic it was said that the prophet wrote the treaty. Its more along th elines of authoring something with a ghost writer.
