I just ordered the last available model at Amazon Germany, and I don't think I will regret it.

It can't be any worse than my tv's integrated sound (which is awful), so it will be an improvement no matter how mediocre it might be.

Various retailers in the UK, such as PLAY.com have this at 2.1 surround sound, although other online retailers stated that it's the X290 Sound Bar System (PS3) which is 5.1 surround, so which is it? It's due for release in January over here in the UK, I am thinking of getting to go with Mass Effect2 .

Bad ass I work at sound engineering so I know what am talking about is 2.1 so is two speakers and a subwoofer pretty good if u listen to music make sure u go to setting with select on the ps3 control and put the volume to 4+

I don't why people don't like it...i have a simple game and home theatre setup with LG 32LE5300 with PS3 slim 120GB and PS3 Soundbar surround system...it freaking rocks man...if you have a small room and no option to have a 5.1 setup or 7.1 this is the best entry level surround system...cool video...

@derectorboy It works with optical cable, that means that the sound is better. You can still watch video thru HDMI, but the sound will come out of the optical cable.

yeah I have the same thing, 2.1 ps3 sound bar and it does sound a lot better then my tv 55in 10watts speakers and the sound bar is 50watts so it sounds great for games and blues, I'am happy with it, but its sounds real good no feedbacks etc... and it wont blow you out the house, so people dont get it if you thank its going to sound like WW2 in your house. I like it a lot compare to my 10watt tv speakers and heard the diff. having this sound bar hooked up.
