  • I realize I am really unprepared, but watching this gave me a little education on it. People sure are quick to criticize on here. Not everyone bred their dogs. When I discovered my chihuahua was pregnant, I took her to the vet and she was already 45 days pregnant. I thought she was in heat. I don't have much experience with this but the vet said he thought she would do just fine, I trust those who know more than me, and you do. Thanks for showing positive results

  • Greaaat Job ! (:

  • I have to Thank You! Last night my female gave birth to three girls and two were breech. I just did what you are doing and she had them with very little difficulty. You are awesome!

  • @Atorres614

You are welcome, I try to help inform everyone that is thinking of breeding and that are already breeding.

  • Awe! great Job!

I can't wait until my little chihuahua Piper has her babies!

I like the part, "oh shit, excuse my french" lol!

  • hay on your othr sad bith stery one the docter killed it if its dead cus he was sqeezing it so hard he almost broke its bak

  • Hi, i have been watching your videos and am so impressed with how calming and gentle you are. I have a Chihuahua who I belive is pregnant, (not bread) and I am a nervous wreck that she is.......

  • My dog Cindy is pregnant but don't worry Ive read all the proper info for the puppies before and after birth and i think I'm really informed and ready so i can't wait the phone will be near me the whole time so i can call the vet if needing

Ohh and i read in a book that your not suppose to pull the pup out but i don't know I'm guessing your a dog breeder so i wont question your methods

  • why do you breed your dogs so small? is it because you can make the big bucks ?selling pups ? how about seeing a healthy happy pup in the end ? to make the breed better ?

  • @jonnythunderwalker

I am breeding Chihuahuas not a large breed dog. My female that I bred was 5 1/2 lbs and that is large for a Chihuahua. Bucks? Do you think I make money breeding? You don't have a clue how much I spend on my dogs. I am NOT running a puppy mill. I am lucky if I break even at the end of the year, most times, I am in the loose money. I breed for the breed to make sure people get Chihuahuas that are Healthy, Happy, Outgoing. Have you ever visited my web site before?

  • @jonnythunderwalker

You should get to know a breeder before you start throwing accusations around. It is sad that you think all breeders are irresponsible. Please go on to Jones Chihuahuas web site and you will find more information that will give you a sense of who I am and how I breed.

  • My little chihuahua is going to have her puppies in two weeks! & her name is Chilly<3!(:

  • The pup will be green if the placenta has disloged from the side of the womb. the colour is from the placenta.

  • wait what happens if the dog has a hard time and the pup is stilll in there sort of, what do you do? and how much for dogs to be spayed i'm afraid my dog with get pregnant because of my cousin's dog (i have a vid of them, brown dog is big now)

  • If any pup is stuck for too long, it can kill the pup as well as the mother. It is best if you are not prepaired to pay large vet bills, you should have your female dog spayed. Spaying cost $130.00 to $350.00 depending were you live and the vet. Phone around to different vets.

  • the female was 5 lbs and the male was 4 lbs. The male's parents were 4 lbs as well. The females parents were 5 & 4 1/2 lbs.

  • my dog is named chili too .. :)

  • The green colouration is from the placenta being detached.

  • as she had only two pups,,this may be the reason they were oversized.....the more the pups,,the smaller they are,,in in my experience with toys....well done tho,,,

  • I've read somewhere that this dog's litter was sired by another (much larger) breed. This is the reason why they are over-sized. She was lucky she carried to term or have complications. I'm glad she was brought to the vet to have a c-s.

  • It is not why the pup was stuck. All my my studs are the same breed and all smaller then the females. It is because there was only two pups developing in the female and they had no compitition with any other pups, so they were fatter and larger.

  • I bred this female with a smaller male, but because there was only two pups, they grew larger then what they should have, they had no compitition for nutrition from the female. It was "not" from breeding a large male to a smaller female. If she had three pups, there would have been smaller pups.

  • 1:43 "they must be because of the.. father"

  • seriously people, dont leave stupid comments. Animals naturally produce hormones just like ours do for pain management. Think about how many women out there still have babies without an epidural? Yes, it hurts, but it is tolerable! I did it! Come on now!

  • same here I gave a natural birth i felt none of the extreme pain I went half numb giving birth

  • that is terrible!! she must have been in a lot of pain!!!this is the reason why i dont want to breed my chihuahua!

  • wow that was really intresting

  • well my chihuahua had her puppies fat they were very cute but it was hard for her the first one was dying and it looked dead for some seconds until it started brething it was our first time helping our chihuahua also it was the fist time she had puppies but shes going to have more this week it looked like she was going to give birth today but my parents said when its full moon and its full moon now so she might have them this week but you have to help the dog because the pups need to get out saf

  • is it okay to pull the baby out?

  • good thing im a total wimp

  • this is nice and the pups are cool

  • thats a dog? Well that is long long hard hard birth

  • My brother is thinking of breeding his chihuahua Tikki and she is a small little thing and I really don't think that it would be a good idea for him to breed with her considering her size. What are your thoughts?

  • Most chihuahua breeders don't breed their small girls. In fact, the little one I'm bringing home in a month was sold to me for that very reason. Her conformation was great, but she was too small to breed. Usually, the females are a bit larger (to lower birthing risks) and when aiming for smallness, breeders choose a tiny male. Though that's no guarantee either as even the smallest pair can throw a 6 lb + offspring. I'd recommend a vet birth or not to breed her at all.

  • i feel so sorry for chiili,i bet she had so mutch truble pushing tha puppy out.she must have went thro crap to push it out for nuthing:{

  • the sack and fluid have no nutrition, the oxitosin and iron is in the placenta. I feed the placenta to the mom and the pup has to get out of the fluid as fast as possible to clear the lungs, especially when a pup has been stuck in the birth canal.

  • Well done! Very good filming.

  • I loved it..."oh plz excuse my french" check out my chihuahuas pups too!

  • im nervous because my chihuahua accidentally got pregnant and shes i think half a month now and i can feel them kicking. Shes not even a year old, so im worried.

  • wow..u really do a part in ur dog birth...

    Great job....

  • Wow...I read your description, and kudos to you for being a responsible breeder! I wish everyone would take the ease of whelping into consideration before they breed.
