  • Great tips! Thanks for sharing, subscribed to your channel.

  • Wonderful video Andrew-

If you don't mind I want to you ask you a question about the website quirky.com and whether or not they take full possession of the patent in the given case that you agree to work with them, thanks again for your time and your comprehensive videos.

  • nice! I'm Korean patent attorney. My twitter account is @byunlisa / please let me know your account. Nice to know you. Good luck to you!

  • Excellent starting point!

  • Very nice tutorial. Just one complaint, you should have used a better camera. I can't see the board XD (Feels just like school all over again)

  • Im almost to the point of getting my first patent. This helped alot. Thank you!!

Maybe youll see my product one day :p

  • I have 14 selling Patents myself the first one is always the hardest!! My advice is always get as much input as possible

  • thank you so much Andrew!!!

  • Same here. I have a multi-million dollar idea that will change how we celebrate birthdays forever. If anyone out there knows of someone that is willing to get a percentage out of this, please ask them to contact me.

  • Email me and explain to me if you could dmay_tx@yahoo.com thank you

  • I have a specific idea for an alcoholic beverage. How would I go about doing that? Anyone know? I really don't want to spend any money, except for the prototype (which I'm still not 100% on) anybody, help??

  • "What exactly is a patent?"...*looks at notes* "...A patent is a legal document..."

  • If the government objects to monopoly prices for new inventions, it should stop granting patents.

  • Interesting, but you can also use PatentEase software to write your patent application take a look at patent-ease com - they have a demo on youtube

  • Heres a website that lists the most absurd patents ever! tiny(dot)cc/absurdpatends

  • how much does your dvd cost, and how soon can it arrive? Another question is how long does it take to start and be fully finished with all patenting before one can start selling it?

  • Good on ya mate ! Informative but could not read what u wrote

  • Anyway, yesterday sb used a soccer technique which is actually more a specialty of a player even older than me, and I told him that the older guy had a Patent on that soccer trick. A young boy asked me what a "Patent" is. that really made me feel very old!!!

PS: We in Germany just pronounce the word "Patent" in a slightly different way.

  • just a question..

I hav a conceptual project in my mind.. thats nt yet been done by ny1 else.. bt i havnt made a prototype yet.. is it nec to get a prototype b4 appling patent??? and what would be the cost of taking the patent?

  • good video but the marker on the board is annoying and you dont look near old enough to be a teacher. you look my age about 23

  • In the second edition of the DVD, please no marker on a board. Totally invisible and useless. On screen caption is way way more effective.

  • Seems like sound info, although please don't use the word patentees in reference to patent language (6:16). If somehow it's slang for patent language fine, but there are those of us who don't know a thing about patents and we're more likely to cling to every word you say, so please be careful. As far as I know, a patentee is simply the inventor to whom a patent is given.

  • The word is "Patentese," like "Chinese." Yes, it's the name given to the weird language of patent law. The purpose of the course is to help you speak Patentese.

  • Ok. I looked it up. Thanks for making that clarification. Patentese...wow, it just sounded like that word was made up or something at first. Sorry about that it's just that if you are new at this stuff like me, you would be ready to check for the credibility of everything too I'd bet.

  • Just one more thing for now: "The purpose of the course is to help you speak Patentese." Did you mean that the course is to help with speaking Patentese only, or is it intended to be just a part of the course like a happy, breif bonus in the overall attempt to cover the basics of patents in general?

  • Awesome !! thanks for this info.

  • Thank you for such a well thought out and well presented freebie! I feel confident about writing my own now. And I will be purchasing your patent dvds soon! Even if I do decide to run it by a lawyer before I send it in, I will obviously save lots of money I would have wasted just trying to explain my invention to him/her. I hope you're making tons of money from your patents and from your patent dvds. You deserve it after giving away so much quality information for free! Bless you!

  • is this company real...United Patent Resources LTD ..

  • is it possible to patent on trading card designs?

  • it's good to start from the basics.

The claims are important, what about the detail description of the invention?

  • thank you for advice has helped alot.

  • Guess I should do my research first next time. I was just on your site and saw that a utility patent is among the listed lessons. Sorry

  • Do you have any information on how to file a utility patent. I spoke to an attorney and he was going to charge me $8,000 for the US patent and then another $15,000 for an international patent. I don't have the money for this at the moment but don't want to lose out on my idea. Any advice?

  • Does the 'one year provisional' patent rule apply in the UK too? In other words, do you know if the UK has the same system?

  • Yea Man Good job, The only thing man is , That Chalkboard isn't helping you out, Need A biggerchalk board man, I cant see nothin, also you lost me at 6:47. Good job Dude I'm still not buyin the DVD. But thanx it helped me out.

  • I admire people like you who can bring about a change in peoples lives by only volunteering so people can learn and benefit from it. God bless you

    (Mnsur from Pakistan)

  • He isnt doing it for free this is all relating to a DVD advertised at "said" top of the page lol.

He is just showing everyone that he knows what he is doing and is worth buying the dvd from which, although i do believe he knows what he is doing, i dont actually think this does him proud due to scribbles which cant be read on the Whiteboard.

  • The DVD courses are in higher resolution. The YouTube resolution is too low to read the writing.

  • You write fast man. Well spoken too. I like your style.

    thanks

  • i have a patent can improve electricity use,but still i dont no how to move

  • Thanks for The Idea man .
