And you know he wasn't going to make both of his free throws. Instead of securing the basketball or attempting to tip it to a teammate, Vlade tipped it out and it landed in the hands of one of the most clutch players ever. I agree that there shouldn't have been a game 7 if game 6 were called fair, but Sacramento still should've won.

If there was going to be a foul called on the play, there would've been one called when Kobe went to the basket. The only reason that I don't nullify the 2002 championship for the Lakers is because the Kings still had a chance to win that series even with the refs against them.

And you know he wasn't going to make both of his free throws. Instead of securing the basketball or attempting to tip it to a teammate, Vlade tipped it out and it landed in the hands of one of the most clutch players ever. I agree that there shouldn't have been a game 7 if game 6 were called fair, but Sacramento still should've won.

@SAtownZ28 I hate rigged games too as I've been on the wrong end of a few. But on plays like the one that I referenced, players have to know their personnel. If there was going to be a foul called on the play, there would've been one called when Kobe went to the basket. The only reason that I don't nullify the 2002 championship for the Lakers is because the Kings still had a chance to win that series even with the refs against them.

@SAtownZ28 well it wasnt all the refs but just Dick Bavetta. with all the confessions of rigged games Bavetta was involed in a few. in the 99 playoffs he rigged the Knicks/Pacers series so the knicks would win & then in game 3 of the spurs/knicks 99 Finals he called any & every thing against the spurs giving the knicks there only win & then like i mentioned the 2000 playoff series with the lakers vs blazers in game 7 Dick bavetta called any and every foul in the 4th erasing the 17 point lead.

@plasticbag80 Its not the amount of free throws, its the frequency of free throws. If a team is agressive, of course they are going to get more free throws. But no team in the NBA is aggressive enough to get 20+ free throws in a quarter, let alone the 4th quarter where the refs usually let the players play. I can only think of 2 instances where this has occurred: Game 6 of the 2002 WCF and game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals.

In 04 the Pistons beat the shit out of the Lakers. In the offseason, the rules were changed so that the Pistons couldn't do that again. You can't be a defensive machine anymore. Why? The ratings were low. Nothing unethical in what the Pistons did but people didn't want to watch one team smother another. They want a shootout. It's not that Dick himself is a Celtics fan. The Celtics were the main marketing tool of the nba the entire season, right after Garnett became the face of the franchise. The NBA generates more revenue when teams like the Lakers and Celtics make the finals, obviously due to their popularity. It is obvious when the nba wants it to happen. Why is that every game ends up such a close margin in free throws. It's so it wont look rigged. Its all about the timing of calls.

I'd be pretty fucking scared if I was a Celtics fan. Especially after that BEATDOWN the Cavaliers laid on you all AT HOME ROFL.
The likelihood is the Celtics and Lakers will meet again in the Finals this year. David Stern will accept no substitutes. Come playoff time keep an eye out for rigged games that ensure the Celtics win the East.

Yeah, the Cavs also won all 3 home playoff games against the Celtics last year and Lebron had 45 in the win or go home game 7.....AND STILL LOST. Lebron may be the best player in the NBA but his supporting cast isn't near the quality of the Celtics, especially on the road in Boston.
If the Cavs can't win in Boston (they haven't yet) then why should Celtics fans be afraid?

Other than Bryant, barely anyone on the Lakers were actually drafted by LA so your argument of the Celtics just "signing big names" goes right out the window. Rondo, Pierce, Perkins, Powe, Davis...all 5 of those guys contributed to the cause last year and they were drafted by Boston, 3 of them starters.
Hell even the 3-peat Lakers were built through trades and free agency. Hollywood Harper, Brian Shaw, Rick Fox, Shaq, Horry, Rice....and on.
Btw "an old point guard" isn't really a good thing

Ok....so using that logic, without raping the Grizzlies for Gasol and signing Fischer and Odom as free agents....the Lakers would be right where the Celtics would be without Garnett and Allen.

well we got odom out of a trade? douchebag. and fisher has a daughter that can only be helped in LA...SO..hmmm....either way. id take garnett and allen before ODOM and FISHER. uhh "using logic though" and as i just said. payton and malone were almost fucking 40 when they joined the time. alot of help they are. either way ive seen 3 championships in the 2000's. so i coudl give a fuck :)

You didnt draft anyone good on the Lakers other than Bryant the same way the only hall of famer on Boston drafted there was Pierce.....so don't say the Celtics went and bought a team when the Lakers did the same thing.
As for this year, the Celtics just got their veteran big man (Moore) and their 6th man (Marbury) so any edge the Lakers had even with Bynum is now gone.
We'll see what happens in the post-season

the lakers didnt do the same thing. they didnt go and sign ray allen, kevin garnett, eddie, and stephon marburry. they made FAIR TRADES. and bynum isnt even an edge. they beat the boston buttfucks without him. and our draft pick was a lot better than that winny bitch paul pierce. he doesnt go crying off court being carried off by his bitches and come right back. bryant is a true MVP.
