  • Ipana sounds like the name of an island

  • Great commercial That percolating sound is not forgotten.

  • @01398ify Computers existed in the 40's (Mark I, Mark II, Z3)....

  • wooooow, a whole greyscale rainbow of shades?! sign me up for "gray, but not REALLY gray, but sorta more gray than you'd think.... b-but not THAT gray! jeez... do I look like a hooker or something?"

  • Sup.

  • The sound of the percolator in the Maxwell House spot was from the synthesizer of Eric Siday, who also did synth work for such clients as Ford, Westinghouse, Time Magazine, Screen Gems (the S from hell) and CBS ("presents this program in color"). He called his work "Identitones."

  • Nifty. :)

  • i just watched part 1 and now part 3. what happened to part 2??

  • I have a dvd with some of these old ads it makes me laugh because they seem so cheesy today.

  • That Vel girl also starred in a lawnmower commercial where they shaved her eyebrows. ;0)

  • @Arieliondotcom Really? Shaved her brows? wow. I recall some of these commercials exactly word for word note for note after all these years. Others, are a blur or I never saw. Like Bucky Beaver like in the movie Grease-never even almost saw that. Fascinating to see familiar stuff and weird stuff I missed..

  • Like Ajax, or anything will get oil out of a white tee shirt. Colts just beat NY jets for the AFC Championship. Go Colts.
