  • Thats what caused that oil tanker to crash into the shetlands.

  • I remember that very deep area of low pressure. Gosh! Look at the tightly packed Isobars on it.

    We don’t get that many in the way of deep and powerful depressions anymore.

    And here in Kent, we don’t get as much in the way of windy days like we once did.

  • @Nightimeguy Youre right, i havnt seen that for quite a number of years now on the forecast whereas 15 or 20 years ago it was the norm.

  • This low went down to 909 if I remember right (it's still the record for our country). The wind was strong enough to whip a half-eaten apple clean out of my friend's mouth as he was walking the North Cornish Coast in this storm.
