I will agree that this boss is pretty hard but not impossible. I especially have trouble beating the 1st form because it's pretty easy to fall if your not careful with your jumps or you don't duck at the right time and get hit. Not that it helps much but, one thing I've noticed is that Dracula shoots the 3 fireballs from the arm with the shoulder facing out of the screen and the 2 orbs from the arm with the shoulder facing into the screen. The clock item crash makes the 2nd part easy though.

the pc engine version of the game is much harder, besides this version sucks because if you stand on the short pillar the fire and the shockwave fly completely above you, in the other game you have to jump at least.

It IS better, indeed. But easier? I dunno really, the final boss is much easier on PC engine, but some levels are DIFFICULT in Rondo of Blood, not stupidly challenging (meduse head and lance knight spam) like in Dracula X.

From the final picture, I see you saved both Annette and Maria. The first time through I didn't save either of them and got the pic of him on the horse looking at the village. But when you only save Maria, then you get the sad ending with Richter with his arm around a sad-faced Maria and above them a shadowy picture of Annette. :'-(

He did lost many hearts, there is no visible number during battle for some reason, but check 2:15 his hearts actually droped down from 40 to 5!

Dracula is harder than he looks, but what we see here is like the best timing possible for hits. And axe should be Belmonts new legendary item not whip :P

The Stopwatch is best against the 2nd form (2 Crashes with it and Dracula is dead)

I have this on my laptop and wow... Probably the easiest Dracula I've seen. Granted, if the fireballs hit you they would probably one-shot you down the hole, but you shouldn't be able to destroy them with the whip. Might make it a little more difficult.

I actually came up with a REALLY RETARDED way to beat this version of Dracula. Get at least 40-50 hearts and the clock subweapon. For the first part you've got to rely on your own skill and patience, but when he goes Devil mode, just Item Crash twice and he goes down like a bitch.
