these commercials are misleading sometimes, not everyone will get to jump off an airplane, or ride an inflatable assault boat like these guys do, this commercial looks like they are recruiting for MARSOC, I have a few friends that are SARC for people out there that knows what it means...and they are the guys that get to do this kind of stuff

You are right daily life in the Corps is not as sexy as the commercials but we DO do that stuff and are world renown for our history and our ability to defeat any other fighting force in the world.
The jump is not about swimming or heights. It is about courgae it takes to that first step to commit to a life changing experience. You will never be the same after Boot camp. Bwaaaahahahaha! I can't believe they finally made a realistic commercial. From lava monsters to climbing up a mountain and silent drill all over the place finally about something every recruit goes through in Boot Camp. Watching all the black kids squirm by the pool.

The Marines DO see white and black and just because the IDEALS don't aknowledge race, people still do. We've been trained to do it. All that "we only see green, etc." are just nice catch phrases to dismiss the TRUTH that people still hold racial boundaries.
But when you are in the Marines, you aren't always in a "fighting hole", majority of the time you are just being you throughout your daily Marine training/activity.
I think there are exceptions, but PEOPLE, not the marines, have racist tendencies. These tendencies are usually carried out in subtle ways, so just saying "oh the marines don't have racial problems" is damaging. There are racial issues STILL in the marines, why? because PEOPLE still have race issues, that's all man.

Also, there is no such thing as black or white in the Marine Corps. Only green, red, and blue. And green is the more prominent. Now, Semper Fi my "former" brother.

Premium, if you knew anything about the Corps, you'd know Once a Marine; Always a Marine. You aren't a "former" Devil Dog. There is no such thing as a "former" anything in context to the Marine Corps. You are a Marine until you die.

Im a former devildog 2002-2006 and I know for a fact BLACK folks cant swim... IM black BTW.. when swim qual came every yr guess who the majority of folks was sitting on the bench cuz they had to take remedial.... BLACK folks.. I was the only black dud in my plat who could of swim besides this other dude.. 2 out of maybe 15 or 16... If your not a marine you wouldnt understand

Very moto. Who cares if it is a black guy. It shows the diversity we have throughout the Marine Corps. I couldn't think of anything else I would want to do if I weren't in the Corps.

Really? Do you honestly think this was there intent? Yes, let's go an make a PROMOTIONAL video just to make fun of black people? If that was the intent then it would have hurt recruitment and therefore never been made. The marine's made this to recruit people not insult them. Besides that, you just made a very racist comment.
