I think Joe will live because when they were walking out of the building Joe says 'What the hell is this?' and pulls out his handgun. Vito then says 'It's okay Joe' and they go into separate cars. I'm now thinking Joe would have shot the driver and bodyguard next to him when Vito says 'What's going on?' or Joe will be surprised and shot whilst dazzled.

1)Pull out my gun shoot the big guy first then the driver but spare leo.

2)hold leo at gun point

3)Follow joes car

4)Tell leo I've already killed my family what makes him think i wont kill him

5)Hold leo at gun point and tell him to call off the hit.

6)soon as joes passengers get out asking what was going on pop them both

7)get joe

8) Me and joes would then beath the crap out of leo until he died

Because Vito saved Leo Galante life one time...but Joe doesn't do nothing to him...so, Vito and Joe started a war with Chinese guys afters they destroyed the restaurant because chineses killed Henry (he was an federal agent). Now, when Galante let Vito to kill Falcone, he make a deal, but with Joe doesn't do anything. I think you will understand. :D If you see the short movies at all misions in game, you will know more.

I litterally, LITTERALLY, nearly cried once I finished the game and saw this scene.

I suppose Joe could have survived, since he still had his gun with him, but it's really hard, almost impossible, for one man to kill four people in a small space like inside a car. It was a perfect, though very, and extremely sad, ending, and although I wish they hadn't killed him, I'm glad they gave it a good, sensible ending, and I hope they don't mess it up. He could still survive with his gun, I guess.
