Perhaps what you're looking for is a playthrough without commentary... try looking for Kaizo Super Mario walkthrough instead.

He mentioned a TAS of the hack, but that was many videos in already, so I was saddened by the fact that I never got to see it before any of these.

I'm the creator of this hack.

Ever since Kaizo Mario World was introduced to the public, I've seen tons of SMW romhacks get created to be played by LP'ers and romhack reviewers.

After seeing so many hacks based off of Kaizo, I thought to myself, "Why don't I bring this Kaizo difficulty to the 64 era?"

This is where I got the idea of Kaizo Mario 64.

@OmegaEdge29 Did you play Kaizo Mario World at all? I don't remember dying instantly on the start of a level because the creator wanted to railroad the player into playing specific levels first. It was more along the lines of "abuse the game's mechanics or die", not "die just because i feel like it".

Or perhaps you did play it and thought it was that sort of thing and decided to replicate it because you couldn't figure it out? I dunno.
