Anyway i have toby and terry owner on fb, and sad information they both died , they were very nice so idont want to read any more that comentars that they were ugly if anywan know something about them they would see they beauty.
There is absolutely NO problem with cutting the hair over a puli's eyes.
They won't go blind because of this or something.
This is an urban legend. Sadly enough even here in Hungary a lot of people think this is true, but this is a myth. We had about 3 pulis since my childhood (and it wasn't yesterday :) ), and we had no problems. Pet doctors always say they won't have eye problems because of this, why would they?
Anyway, pulis are awesome. You chose well, guys! :)
@atokombeled , you are right, here also i live on bordert of hungary in serbia were that story is very popular, and they have eye problems because of dark, and heir going in they eyes ,just for information, anyway it is logical they have aeye problems because they eyes are in dark
Puli will not get blind if you cut hair above eyes it is not true and it is most stupid think i heard .If you cut hair above eyes it will just thay tham a few days to adapt it -light, I have pulis for 16 years and i cut thay heir when they get old , they never get blind, it is not best whay to bath pulis like that , first i rinse tham after that I fill a bathtub with water put shampoo in it and thay are in it for half hour ,after that i rinse tham , and that is that
@puligor - Well, we cut our puli's eye hair a lot when I was a kid, and the puli developed cataracts and was nearly blind. After the fact, we learned the puli's exposure to light sped up the blindness over time. Died at 14, and had ear infections so partial deaf too.
when watching video of which by eyes I see before then what cruelty beside be dogs breeding of which is looked from mop parents to control the dirt an bacteria from floor
You are not supposed to cut the hair at the eyes because they become blind. Their eyes are too sensitive, that is why they seek shadowy places if you do so, hang out behind table cloths, veils, or curtains that reach down to the floor.
I love Puli's..I love any corded dog. I always think they're gorgeous in the photos and videos I see of them, but I've never actually gotten to meet any. I would love to though; they're beautiful :).

Hello, hair can be cut by puli around the eyes, puli not go blind if you cut the hair on the head;
puligor 2 years ago
@puligor - That wasn't my experience, too much light causes puli's eyes to get cataracts over time.

don't cut the hear an the head !!!
the puli will go blind , or seriously damage his eyes .!!! in the summer you may cut the hear on the body , but not the head
1ebihal 2 years ago
@1ebihal That was our experience as well, the puli's exposure to too much light gradually causes cataracts.

Does their hair feel soft, or hard like human dreadlocks?

Yes it is the wrong way to groom a Puli! Toby and Terry are 13 years old and are almost blind. Don't you think they want to see what's left for them?

Sorry, you have right.
loriantitodo 3 years ago
@TobyTerry - I know this is too late, but when you cut their eye hair, it helps speed up their being blind due to exposure to light.

Beside that, their hair is beautiful.
