Also, Dragonball was not made to be inspired by HNK, but more like a parody of lighthearted martial arts adventure manga. Then the manga/anime got too popular so we saw the whole continuation with DBZ, which started parodying HNK and other fighting shows.

the character power levels and story styles of yuyu hakusho, naruto, and bleach are much more inline with HNK than DB. DB goes so far overboard with power levels that it stops being relatable to other anime. HNK is the definate influence in modern anime/manga that feature martial arts and power levels and what not.
