  • this is old.... these clips were considered the best, now hitting a spine is shit, you need too hit a 180 misty flip too be considered good, standards are too high now.

  • 5:11..look at the eyebrows ..xd

  • skating looks easier...

  • Get bones Swiss best bearings in my opinion

  • these guys must use the slowest bearings thats why i use vicious

  • so sloppy lol

  • I miss this sport.... totally better than skateboarding

  • 0:46 It's Drake!

  • Its nice to look back where inline skating was still a new thing. Enjoyed watching this video, wish I still had the right age to do all those tricks

  • @allinaday

Epic film, man. This takes me back to when I had just gotten into skating. K2 backyard bobs were my first pair of skates. I take that back, I had a pair of regular oxygen inlines that I took the middle wheels out of and started grinding ledges. Now they have frames without middle wheels period (xsjado). It's truly amazing to see how far the sport has progressed. Absolutely nostalgic and it's making me want to strap my boots back on as I'm typing this. Props.

  • Yea you can tell this is old, they don't do as many crazy stunts as today.

  • OMG. My friend can drop in on on foot backwards 8-O and i cant even drop in LOL.

    Thumbs up for Inline Skating!

  • Thanks for that tribute.

I used to ride in the 90's and that reminds me of very good memories.

Would you mind posting videos with Matt Lindemuth (vert.) and with Matt Salerno / Aaron Feinberg / Nicky Adams / Tim Ward (Street ASA) if you have some?

  • @compac42 I am sorry. I do not have video of any of those skaters.

  • .... wow.. i thought my inlineskating is pretty good but now... i have to learn a lot!

  • i think being kicked out of x games was the best thing that has happend to inlining because after that inlining proggressed so much just to get back into it after being out of x games so many more tricks were made and has impacted rollerblading in a big way no dought if rollerblading was brought back into the xgames we would try even harder to make tricks and it would be 1 of the most popular sports on it and of course chris haffey will get gold xD

  • omg this sport has proggressed i can do all this stuff and ive been onl skating for 2 years they didnt really consider style back then they just went with what trick they did now its all about the style

  • the guys from team fr kinda remind me of the boys from the zephyr team. :D

  • Try viewing the whole "its all good" vid- it puts the comp into context. These guys behind these ams were the pioneers of the sport- without them the sport would not be where it is today. Homage to C.Edwards is v. cool.

  • Damn...i dont know where the turning point was for rollin', but if this is 11yrs old i remeber 2002 when the 2nd regime video hit, then Words by mindgame and i am not a 100% on this but i think thats when the bar was raised...lets be honest to take 10yrs to live on a soul n a royale is kinda extreem n stupid

  • DAMN! compare this to the competitions now days! this was what you would call pro back then and what you would call poser now!

  • there not smart at all!! they are wearing helmets, but they dont atatch them well ro not at all, so if they fall it wont work!

  • unbelivable to see how sports evolve sooo fast. This movie is only 11 years old and it shows. Not that these guys arent good, they were actually the bests , but you see kids nowadays doing what was considered impossible back then at a really early age.

  • @petepiaire Thank you for your insight. I did not know that aggressive in-line skating unevolved that rapidly. I admired these young boys for their athletic talent and their decency and attempted to push back at parents and teachers who thought they were useless wastes.

    David Hoffman -- film maker

  • @allinaday You should watch the guys today to see how rolling has evolved.

  • 1:45 thats what she said! XD

  • i was the best .........all this tricks are baby i did all and more at the same time .......only...if i had a camera in the 95 96

  • Fuck it !!

  • Those tricks are soooo easy. Damn I can't belive there's a competion for this bunch of amateurs !!

  • 1:58 lol

  • i miss my old k2 backyard bobs and this makes me remember my them....RIP first pair of inline skate, i would so skate a pair now if i could find some but hey i love my valos too

  • im guessing this movie was made in late 90s and early 2000s. nowadays intermediate skaters can do those tricks =D its progressed so much

  • these are shit i can top porn those quarters

  • its amazing to see how far it's progressed. so muchh more now. if this sport were exposed at the right time (such as now) instead of getting all the hype back then...it woulda been one of the tops today. up there with skateboarding. so technical nowadays. keep rolling

  • tht wasnt in slo mo

  • omg how old this? xDDDDD

  • wow they are good but they skat whit no style :P

  • this is me in a few years

  • this is going to be me in a few years looking forward

  • I forgot how far rolling has progressed and refined itself. Not really surprising it took a popularity nosedive after being so over exposed when the sport was still in its infancy. But I'm still nostalgic for those old-school days of FR and Hoax II.

  • Wow, David Hoffman these are beautiful vids.

And those blue Oxygen skates look amazing.

  • ive seen this movie. the fr team manager is a douche.

  • I AM BETTER

  • old... nothing more to say

  • Surprising to me that you do not find something "older" fascinating. In any activity I know of, the younger people are interested in what the older people did. Apparently you do not apply here. I hope you find some other video that suits you.

  • your right i was mad yesterday, i think the quality of the video is great

  • you guys need to learn to do some flips otherwise u suck n my book

  • Lol they suck really badly, like get blades and skate for a month and ur this good

  • this footage is really old back when inline was still new. By todays standard its nothing.

  • This is oldschool skating you douche

  • was this like really beginner amateur...?

  • Lol this is old looking, back when baggy jeans were cool lol. they all kinda suck

  • @ugh113 You just said on the internet that Dustin Latimer and Louie Zamora suck. Clearly you're not from this planet.

  • I never said that. if i did i was probly on acid or something.

  • i watched this in Tv , this was the last ASA Tour stop i think in 99, Roadhouse Spizer won this

  • i remember those days i was the original legend i remember nene and gil before they even knew how to go down a ramp lol...

  • did u know my uncle Ryan Jacklone and Dave Ortega ???

  • yes I did know them both and admire them greatly. Where are they today?

  • hahahahah...wow..nene,kelly ,ozzie,robert,jacklone,ortega...this was new york skating on thr raw...fr team......new kids now dont know shit about this guys..its sad bro........thatnks 4 the memorys

  • good video =] i wish rollerblading were brought back to x games

  • OMG look how young DL looks! and ARLO! How old is this??

  • The film was made in 1999, at the high point of the aggressive in-line skating competitions and when the founders, like Arlo, were still young man. I am glad you enjoyed ii. You should get the whole thing.

    David Hoffman filmmaker
