Contact your state attorney general and file a complaint. Call your elected officials like your mayor or governor and get them banned from doing business in your state or city.

Pissed, I called Dish TV out in CA (because that was the only number I had) and told them what had happen to me. Dish (CA) connected me with my REAL, LOCAL DISH TV INSTALLER, Who came out 8:30 am the very next day and installed my Dish TV. They would have come out the SAME DAY but it was to late (EST). I through Direct TV Receiver in the trash and am happy with Dish TV. DIRECT TV SUCKS
Direct TV SUCKS. That's just one of the Crooked Stunts they pull. I moved back east from CA. Where I had Dish Network. (A company I love.) I called our local Satellite company (Direct TV) because the company symbol looked the same as Dish TV. I asked were they the same company as Dish TV in CA. They told me Yes. So I told them how I felt about Dish in CA and asked them to install satellite. Found out THEY LIED when the bills came. They raised my rates, charged me for a new receiver. Continued:
I have experienced much of the same thing with DIRECT TV in these recent months. I canceled my DIRECT TV, found out that I would pay a HUGE disconnect fee for ending the contract early...paid them in full w/i 2 weeks through my bank and they billed my credit card for the same amount during that time frame. If I do not see that money back within 30-60 days...the BBB has advised me to file a complaint. In the meantime, I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge.
win you finaly return the equitment they make you do there job packing it a shipping it and if its damaged they WANT YOU TO PAY. If you want to cancel your account they wont let you with out payment now. and if they cancel now they will rob your bank account or visa . its all hidden on that contract. Go to comcast i dont ever remeber them screwen around with me like this.
Thanks for the heads up. I was just about to call and sign up after receiving their promotional information in the mail and then I checked their BBB rating. They have an F rating. I smell a class action lawsuit on the horizon.

DTV will never make things right without a hassle. They spin any situation to make it look like your fault. They will not come with a technician that is a lie. They just keep handing you off to more phone reps where you have to explain the same crap over and over. I had to file with the BBB just to get a replacement receiver that I bought myself. Then they tried to tell me that I was just renting it. When I then asked what the 300 bucks was for, they said they were mistaken. lol... crooks
Dtv in my opinion is a ripoff I hate them I got this exten contract they asked me to sign for the equiptment I did then later I find that is the contract. 2 yrs WTF you sign at the end you cant presign for equiptment they outsource r nasty rude they don't give a dam sneak in hidden fee's nickle & dime u staff is THICK I am counting the days to end this nightmare. I feel like I have a contract with the mob can't take this FU Dttv use local cable. add a box & you'll pay dearly No one will help U
If not installed correctly, then explain it is an incomplete installation. DTV will make things right. If you're not getting your message through when you call customer service then e-mail the office of the president. You could've purchased the receiver for $149 & installed yourself. Doing so would've eliminated the 12 month agreement. It's not nearly as unfair as you make it sound. The devil is in the details. I've found DTV to be great -- especially compared to the rest out there.
too true. i have had nothing but issues with direcTV since day one. I will never use this company again. They have very poor customer service. BUYERS BEWARE!
