You should go for Mattracks...Cos with Mattracks, you'll never know how deep the snow is! You might get out your ride as you might normally do, and sink into the snow 1 meter deep...LOL. Just my 2 cents. Youtube has many videos on Mattracks. Its a direct bolt-on replacement for the wheels.

@zonghans Sorry for the late reply ..mattracks suck, useful for only 1 thing sucking at all the other little things tires do well and btw 38" on a Toyota can pretty much traverse any depth of snow 44"'s does even better and guess what they even work on the road. Oh matt's have been tested here as well believe me, they were found wanting.

@vitamingrin1 without being sure, i think its custom. We have quite a few shops in iceland doing this kind of work. And they all do it pretty pro.

Thats all we have in USA lol very few Diesels. Vw TDI,Jeep CRD,Mercedes CRD,CDI, ford 250,dodge ram,chev thats about it. No toyotas,nissans with diesels. Im going to head to South America and bring back CRD wrangler ultimate!!!

Almost every other country SUV's and pickups outside the USA come with Diesel option, and they're usually much better. Example Grand Cherokee 3.0 Mercedes Diesel available in UK and Europe since launch in 2005.

Before that the Grand had a 2.7 Mercedes diesel since 2001/2, The 3.1 VM Diesel since launch in '99. The Old ZJ Grand was available in Europe and UK with a 2.5 VM Diesel since about '95 to '99.
