@MINIMININOTCH There's offline play you know. ;) Well, actually, the 360 version is now mandatory to play online. It's because Sega made the expansion free, but mandatory; to make it a smaller download, they took out the offline mode.

If you want to play offline, I would say either the PS2 or the PC version is your best bet. The expansion is a standalone game on the PS2/PC version, so if you just want to get the most content right away (short story, lots of extras), I'd get the expansion. =)

@Pr0udDragon you can still play the offline and the online in PSU for the 360, it just that the dlc is required because it is an update to all modes.

@fede1211 The DLC is required, but you'll find out that they decreased the download size by taking out the offline mode...in other words, there is zero offline on the expansion. If you have the original somehow, you can, but the expansion is a mandatory update.

@pavle66 while they may be stronger, they can't use resta. That's pretty much the only reason, because with resta you can heal about 10x more HP with 10 monofluids than you can with 10 monogrinders (or any other two with the same level). Also if you have resta, you can use them both... lasting a lot longer in the fields.

I think if you have a certain person in the party and you get a S rank on a mission they give you a small chance of getting the PA of the weapon they use. For example, Lucaim Nav uses knuckles and twin claws so if you do the above you could get a PA for either of those. Some skills dont follow this rule though.
