With a simple explanation:

I extracted (not recorded!) ALL video files from the game folder of the PC version... luckily they had names like 001, 002,... 025, 026 and were saved in the correct order. So sorry to belie you: All cutscenes are in the right order, but some are "alternative" (like the balamb garden exploding if you fail or not if you succeed). Could have left them out but then we would have missing scenes! But feel free to name missing video files.

i hate the gameplay of every ff. it was all about the story. i used to work through the gaming parts to see whats comin next. now i cant seem to do it anymore. i tried with ff8 but gave up after 7h. glad to see this video here though.

What happened to the girl that the guy proposed to out in the meadow/field at night? Did she die because I saw him looking at a grave? How did she die? Who was the other girl that was waving to the guy when he was looking at the grave site? Was that the girl he proposed to or is that a completely different girl?

@sapphirezahara She died after giving birth to their son, Squall. I would really recommend playing FF VIII, you can all find out yourself that way;)

Both Final Fantasy VII and VIII made huge impacts on my life. I think they should remake both. I'll always prefer VIII though. Not because it's a better game (they are both equally stunning), but because it's the first one I played, and because I was going through hard times while playing it, so I saw a lot of my own personality in Squall. I guess I felt like there was a connection between his life and my own... it's good to see that he is finally happy, I'm still waiting for MY happy ending...

@ProcreatingSorg They do have insanely deep moral stories in the plots of 7 and 8. The Sephiroth/Cloud/Zach paradox of FF7 can't ever be touched, it's a masterpiece of a plot. But I feel ya man, playing those games through shaped a lot of the who I am today.

Correct: The video is missing because there is no video. :-P

This part is rendered with ingame graphics while the videoclip goes on with a black screen. Sounds weird, but there really exists a very long video clip for the epilogue, containing a small scene where the music continues but you only see a black screen. Could have recorded the ingame graphics though.... ;-)

hey, the video is good but i would rather it to be more alike the game, there's some scenes that are not in the correct way, missing parts and the music is quite different than it is in the real game.though, i like it xoxo

Music: Ingame you only have background world music during the clips or no music at all -> would have been boring this way.

Just don't download it to your PSP or throughout the entire game you'll have major glitching and lagging problems, i advise you not to unless you homebrew your firmware and upgrade your PoPs than maybe.

My favorite scene: 33:43 where Rinoa floats in space. I had the idea to use a small piece of "compression of the time" (played when you head to Artemisias Castle) and repeat it a few times. And I think it surprisingly fits! :)
