Mcafee has done pretty good by me. One time, before I got site advisor, I downloaded a bad file and before it was even done downloading, the Mcafee popup appeared, telling me the file had been quarantined. I thought, "oh snap!". It turned out to be a some sort of hijacker, and boy was I glad Mcafee caught it.
