Well...I'm one of those who just ordered an iPad a few days ago (refurbished on the Apple Website for $468.68 ) but I don't really want the newer features that are supposed to be coming with the 2nd one. I already have a FaceTime camera on my iPod touch 4g, so that's nothing.

I write...a lot, so I'm bought the iPad to use as a second word processor (my Compaq CQ61 is kinda clunky). Gonna load Pages on the iPad, and buy the Apple bluetooth keyboard.

I CAN'T WAIT! :) Great video, though.

Ill be interested in buying a macbook if they release it with some decent hardware soon. Not interested in paying 1200 bucks for a computer with a normal dual core, a weak GPU and 250GB storage (13 inch basic model of MacBook Pro. Not interested in the all white ones). Hope they do a big upgrade to all of this and also dont release models with 64 gb storage for that prize no matter how fast the memory is..

There was speculation in MacUser that iPad 2 would have the same resolution to enable backward compatibility with older apps. How true this may be idk (average joe talking here - maybe someone else may be able to make an intelligent guess).

Anyway - still very happy with my iPad 1 but always interested to see what happens next...

Speculations are that the iPad 2 won't be much of an upgrade. Rather, an iPad 3 will be the next big step. So an iPad 2 with some minor improvements, and then a quad-core retinal display iPad 3 later in the year or something crazy like that.

@BrokenBjartur The whole iPad 3 later this year stuff is all balony. The guy who "claimed" it didn't even claim it, people read between the lines and took it how they wanted to take it. What he said was it makes more sense for Apple to release the iPads at the same time as the iPods because it's closer to the holiday period. iPad 3 will come out next year. Apple don't like (or really need) to release stuff like this more than once per year. Macs are the only things that they update more.

@MrVinney96 They'd have to use dedicated GPU's if they wanted something better than the shitty Intel stuff, which increases cost and takes up more space on the logicboard so the battery life will be reduced as that's likely one thing they'd make smaller to fit it in. Intel really made things difficult with their insistence on being the only ones allowed to make chipsets and IGP's for their CPU's. The higher end (as in 15 and 17" models) should have dedi GPU's though, likely AMD 6XXX series.
