  • Perfect! Eine der besten aufführungen Ich habe gesehen, schwer =)

  • class song prog rock rules

  • This is, in visual terms, the unfathomable beauty in the play between dark, light and shadows, digging into the deep dark pit of buried feelings.

  • This is the real music guys...

  • Simply put...this is beautiful!

  • how can a band that rocks so hard do something this slow and melodic so well?!?! i bet they could make a justin beiber 'song' sound good...if you could pay 'em enuff to cover one, which i doubt. Judas Priest Rock Forever!!!

  • This one is not just a song, this is passion, pain, tears, emotions, regrets, remembrance, melancholy, sadness, this is simply...life.

  • @CyberLuko well put

  • @CyberLuko dont forget, a strong debut for the vocalist in this band

  • ok, so it wont let me post that video here...type this in the search bar and look for the dude in the skull mask.

judas priest RUN OF THE MILL

  • if your a fan of this song, watch this dude hammer it....very impressed!

  • Why they never played this song live?

....and why they are not playing it on Epitaph tour? :(

  • All were touched by genius on this one and on some songs that were about to come on next albums

  • With this song they've entered right in among the gods not to mention that they found their place in the history of music right from their debut album. This song will be strong even after billions of years until the end of time. This song is absolutely universal (comes directly from the universe if not the multiverse). As they say in "Dreamer Deceiver" they gripped that the cosmic sound and held on to the note. Rob is clearly not from Earth on this song.

Grande Judas Priest!

  • rob can sing any style. thats why he is the greatest ever.

  • I'm still thinkin how to bring this masterpiece with me after death. can anyone help?

  • @hichovsky smoke til you cant smoke no more with this song on repeat play it on 11 and make sure when you check out it's here:

Now with the aid of your new walking stick

You hobble along through society thick

And look mesmerized by the face of it all

You keep to the gutter in case you fall

    I can't go on

    I can't go on

    I can't go on

    I can't go on

  • 12 people are wrong!!!!!

  • Τελικά τα καλύτερα ταξίδια τα κάνεις με τη μουσική!

  • Driving my old parent's car i was playing a cd with the first 2 Judas Priest albums over and over again.

    Sweet sweet old times.

  • One of Heavy Metal's greatest riffs at 1:57. So dark and evil and HEAVY!

  • AEK FETA KAI JUDAS PRIEST KASETA.... AEK ORIGINAL 21 HOOLIGANS..

  • @FylakismenOsR21 Εισαι Θεος μεγαλε...ΑΕΚΑΡΑ και METAL forever...

  • @philconnors74 haha.. etsi einai auta....;)

  • @philconnors74 original nea filadelfiaaara

  • Απάντηση σε αυτό το βίντεο... the bigest heavy metal band ever

  • One of the hidden gems of the priest collection and Reckless from the turbo album is another one which I think has the best Tipton solo ever on it

  • Oh man, what a song. I am in my thirties and have been listening to this song since I was teenager. Thanks to my older brother. I was outsider at the boarding school because everyone was listening to Kelly family etc. and I was listening to Judas, AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Helloween and many more. But I do not regret every single minute when I was listening.....

  • Ohh god!! with the econ. the way it is I can relate to this song so well.

  • Anyone know where I can find a bass tab for this song?

  • Best bassline from the Priest. By far.

  • the first time world hears Rob Halfords Screaming Vocs.

  • lol @ 70's guitar noodling FTW

  • this is all i had to listen to in tenth grade for some reason.

  • Ahora con la ayuda de tu nuevo bastón

Caminais juntos con dificultad a través del grueso de la sociedad

Y pareces fascinado de la cara de todo ello

Te mantienes en la cuneta en caso de que te caigas

    No puedo seguir

    No puedo seguir

    No puedo seguir

    No puedo seguir

  • ive loved this song for many many years.

although i disagree with the ending lyrics that most are quoting.

i think the ending lyrics are...

i cant go on, run of the mill.

i cant go on, run of the mill.

    run.

  • Ups, i thought it said "Run To The Hills"...

  • The Picture fits the song so perfectly. 6:34 - 8:13 Is the best part.

  • This is one of the all time greatest songs ever written. Along with Beyond the Realms of Death. Judas Priest is a phenom of the music world. Their range of style is so vast and is paralleled only by Rob's vocals. The talent pool of Priest is of immeasurable depth. \vv/_

  • @kittysbestfrend

    Wow! Very well said!

  • Damn, I haven't heard this song in years. Absolutely incredible.

  • If you ask 100 metal fans ( or even die-hard priest fans) about their favorite Priest song or album you will get different answers from everyone else. This clearly proves that priest never stuck in a shelf where they can produce all similar songs, they always produced different albums without caring about the critics and they were, are and always ahead of their time.

Fuck the critics Hail the artistic vision of Priest. \m/

P.S. -all of their albums are metal yet very unique.

  • ECSTASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is this somewhat like Pink Floyd?

  • @GladeSwope No not really. Pink Floyd is a progressive Rock Band and Judas Priest ist a true legend of (the New Wave of British) Heavy Metal. This is a song of their first album, released in 1974. Maybe Priest was influenced by Pink Floyd, but I think they were more orientated in the direction of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin (think about Stairway to Heaven if you hear this).

  • @666Templar666 'run of the mill' always reminded me of 'time' from dark side of the moon- especially since the song expresses regrets of a lifetime of living in conformity. 'what have you achieved... doing as you were told' 'Rock a' Rolla' seems different from the rest of the 'Priest catalog imo.- it was prog rock. also in 1967, Floyd had some of the heaviest music in existence- but nobody knew what to call it. Perhaps it's a moot point, it's all considered just "classic rock" today.

  • @666Templar666 (continued...) Rock-a-rolla (the whole album) to me sounds like some combination of the Rolling Stones, the Who, Cream, and (heavy) Pink Floyd.- completely different from anything else 'Priest did afterward. I don't really notice the 'Sabbath' influence until "Sad Wings of Destiny."

  • @GladeSwope I think I could agree with your opinion. But at least this is great music and I think its ok, to call it 'classic rock' today. ;)

JP and PF, both had their influences, we could not totally specify today. But they developed a very own style of music and influenced hundreds and thousands of other bands.

Keep on rockin', greetings from Germany!

  • five stars easy!

  • Masterpiece. Final part reminds me of Child in Time.

  • @DaddoFatto94

    Exactly!!! lml

  • JP forever

  • Probally my favorite Judas Priest song, that or Dreamer Deceiver

  • Comment removed

  • 4o\m/

  • Amazing song I used to get lost in this song over and over it never gets old.

  • I do not understand why Rock Rolla had no success.

Just the best songs are from that album, especially this one.

  • @Deathnessangel I think it has to do with the era of 70''s

  • @korzon don't forget prisoner of your eyes and here come the tears!

  • ...simply a masterpiece...it moves me everytime.

  • Filled with desperation. "I can't go on..."

  • Run of the Mill, Dreamer Deceiver, Beyond the Realms of Death.

I'd listen to these masterpieces to eternity.

  • @BlackenedThunder Don't forget before the dawn!

  • @BlackenedThunder good to see there is OTHERS like me ...

  • @BlackenedThunder Don't forget Here Come The Tears/Dissident Aggressor...

  • @CrazyBear65

I was talking about their long ballads, there are so many great Priest songs other than those three :)

  • @BlackenedThunder So true :'|

  • @BlackenedThunder You sir, have impeccable taste in music.

  • Acid Priest.

  • While growing up, we lived in a small town that basically only played country (everywhere). My bro who is 6 yrs older then me pulled me into this music back in 83/84, when i was about 9 or 10. To this day, giving me the gift of metal is still the best present i've ever gotten. Danx much Brother

  • or whoever said that comment fag

  • its true , crazytrain is an ashole among other things . a stupid little fop, who cant satisfy a woman because his dick is very small , infinitesimal if you will. so he has to take out his SHORTcomings on someone who cares for his friends which you couldnt possibly have since you have none because if yoiur that stupid and betray people like that you dont even know what more the people you do know , you insignificant little piece of shit ..

  • @TheEdhoyt or whover said fag

  • @TheEdhoyt soo, why am i an ashole? oddly enough, i've been satisfying the same woman for 19 years, and getting phone calls from my ex, of 19 years? really don't get it...

  • Im high as hell, and I know Im not alone on that one!

  • А живого исполнения это песни нет?

  • makes me break down every time i hear this song. was listening to this when i found out my best friend had died. i just turned it up louder and screamed it

  • @crazytrain7114 fag.

  • @killerdugong callin somebody a fag cause they have feeling makes you a major asshole.....

  • @Knitesword74 and?.......

  • @killerdugong

    You dick.

  • This is really a masterpiece... So deep.

  • Top ten epic songs ever, savored for special times. People should have stopped at 666 likes.

  • And priest sounded exactly the same whether u were in ur car or 4th row on the floor

  • At 43yrs. old im a bit younger than some comment folks here , I didn't find priest till 1985 I had no idea what metal really was , we would smoke up on Friday nites and lose ourselves In his voice

  • Respond to this video... Listened to this album so many nights drinking in high school it makes me thirsty to hear it. The song of a quietly depressed generation. Priest forever.

  • this is the best song i have ever heard

  • one of their very best songs

from one of their very best albums

    PRIEST! PRIEST! PRIEST!

    R.I.P

    No PRIEST without KK ;(

    shitty, shitty news ;(

  • I love this song.

  • What a track! Wish they played this one live! Twas surely a sign of their greatness! I will miss you KK.

  • judas priest before all the leather was and is still the best band on the planet. when Halford still had his long blonde hair and they all had like 70s shirts and bell bottoms playing dreamer deceiver like it was their last day on earth.

  • Judas Priest in 1974,the best heavy metal band that year,as well as the rest of the 70's.

  • I used to listen to this track every day walking back from school when I was 16 what the hell is doing a 16 years old kid listening to this???... One of the greatest songs ever... If my life had a soundtrack this song would definitely be there...

  • absoulutly gorgeous song. reminds me of my walkman, walking to work on saturday morn at the steak-house. high on pot.

  • The ending where rob picks back up is the Best Goddamn use of vocal melody I have ever heard. It still sends shivers down my spine after 35 years. Absolutely Fucking beautiful.

  • Excellent song!

I saw JP twice in Japan. But in fact, I like them before "Stained Class" more than they became "Metal Gods".

My favorite tunes are "Diamonds And Rust" "Dreamer Deceiver" "Beyond the Realms of Death"etc. They have authentic British hard-rock taste.

  • The solo break at 3:50 is the type of jam break that literally could have gone anywhere it wanted to. Not easy for most bands who only know the formula...they eventually come back in great Halford fashion...notice the keyboard?

  • For me< this one (alongside Dreamer deciver) beats stairway to heaven

  • @abumefak2 Agreed!

  • @abumefak2 You forgot to mention they beat Stairway ANY DAY! ;)

  • @abumefak2 I totally agree!

  • The only way someone could dislike this song was to not have heard it. My personal opinion is that the people who have clicked dislike are the same ones who like the socially acceptable bands of the moment, the same bands that are nowhere 10 years from now. Judas Priest is, was and will always show more talent than most bands. They are above Metal God status. They are and always will be (much like Sabbath) ahead of their time.

  • @Tupinambis13 You're absolutly right, especially about Metal God status.

Their music always was about somthing, and nowadays most groups have songs without any sense.

  • @TheMaulMartin Yeah,Its all pissed off about something music these days!

  • Now with the aid of your new walking stick

You hobble along through society thick

And look mesmerized by the face of it all

You keep to the gutter in case you fall

    I can't go on

    I can't go on

    I can't go on

    I can't go on

  • I have both the RockaRolla and Sad Wings of Destiny together on one disk and I have to say this is the best that Priest ever made. Their later stuff was still excellent, but to know Judas Priest you have to listen to these two albums. It's like listening to Led Zep, you have to listen to Presence to actually know them. It's something only a classic rocker who has experience can show you.

  • 11 people do not have ears.

  • @dishayu they even did not know that they are alive!!!

  • i can listen to this one anytime!! classic one!

  • kurwa jeszcze raz!

  • how can you say about this song, i dislike? you can say: it's not my taste and dont push on like or dislike...

  • Superbe chanson, Mythique!!!!!!

  • 7:21 - 8:15

    The proof of Halford's pre-eminence.

    From Canada, with love.

  • hello im doing a project on school about judas preist and it will help if u anwser this question by sending me a message on what was your fav song thx :)

  • @volume12345678

    Dreamer Deceiver

  • this is so fucking beautiful and melancholy......my heart is breaking.....and here come the tears.

  • JUDAS PRIEST PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T STOP TOURING!!!!

  • Absolutely fantastic!!!

  • dislike = Dis i Like

  • thank you for this video...i have been looking for this song. finally found you so precious memories :)

  • i do a doody everytime! ah damnit,..be right back..

  • Undoubtedly, one song I like to listen in cloudy cold winter day. The mood is great in this song.

  • The best band ever existed, creating music with such a drama until this very moment...even in every single song of Nostradamus you can feel the same. About the 11 dislikes,people...chill out, every one can have his own taste and opinion, but come on...dislike? Are you deaf? ARE YOU DEAF?

  • I've been listening to Judas Priest for some time now, but I heard this song only a couple of weeks back. I was like, wait a sec, is that Judas Priest!!

The entire album is amazing...been listening to the CD ever since!! :)

  • I saw the Priest in '74 for the first time. I was a kid in England on vacation, Newcastle City Hall. I'm from the USA. I'm 50 years old now and still remain friends with Robert. I live in Arizona, not far from him. It just happened that way. I've always been a fan. Nothing more. And I play guitar.

  • Just a masterpiece.

    Fucking beautiful song.

  • Makes me kinda bummed that they chose to rein in Ian Hill's playing to simply holding down the bottom to let KK and Glenn run wild.

  • The snow is goin' on...

  • first time i heard this song i was drunk ;) but i started to cry sooo f good i could not belive

  • my life is NOTHING without this music

  • @wrrrrrrrrrr I know EXACTLY how you feel!

If you feel that strongly about Priest´s music you should come join us at robhalford(dot)com, if you´re not already a member.

  • @MetalGods thanks for invitation. I'm sure I'll take that opportunity. btw. Run of the mill for me somehow resembles Child in Time by Deep Purple. it's THAT good =) funny, that picture... even the crappiest weather actually feels bood in combination with Judas Priest. I have one like that outside my window now.

my all time life support is Judas Priest + Fields of the Nephilim + Dead Can Dance + New Model Army.couldn't go through another day without them. now on the away to robhalford(dot).com

  • @wrrrrrrrrrr should be "feels good" sry=)

  • THIS WHOLE ALBUM VOCALLY IS ASTOUNDING

  • This song is so underrated. Such a shame. Its perfect in every way. It gets inside you and makes you feel. It's Beautiful. I don't care what type of music you prefer, if you cant appreciate this song, you don't deserve your ears. Thank you Judas Priest.

  • There is no scream......EVER...Like the one at the end of this song... I used to practice it over and over forever until I finally got it. There is some incredible feeling when you can let out such a shrill but pure high octave wail like this. Halford is in a league of his own. What's so awesome is we have both him and Bruce, two operatic singers with such different vocal dexterity.

  • amen to that

  • Pure fucking Music. Hail the Metal Gods.

  • The solo in the begining bring tears to my eyes....

  • Great pic to go with this, on a stark January day.

  • "What have you achieved now you`re old.

Can you fullfill ambition, do as you were told.."

And i still can`t believe this is over 30 years ago, almost 40 . This is such a hymne.

It´s full of emotion & pathos. And as everyone agrees, a masterpiece!

  • Great fucking band!!!

  • I was watching Judas Priest: Behind The Music on VH1 and they played this song in the background at one point...so I looked up the song by some lyrics. And I love it. I've been a Priest fan for years, but I never really checked out Rocka Rolla.

  • @brnleague99 the deeper you dig, the better JP gets!

  • 11 people have no taste in music, it a masterpiece.

  • @elchippe

I'll second that. One of the songs I cannot maintain a playlist without.

  • one of the greatest songs ever

  • One of my favorite Priest songs. It´s a MASTERPIECE!!!!!!! The lyrics are so deep and full of feeling and Rob´s voice is indescribable. The best band on the planet! It´s sad that Judas Priest has never gotten the recognition and fame that they deserve. Nearly everyone on the planet has heard of Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden but almost everyone I know (not metal fans) have never even heard of Judas Priest:(

  • @MetalGods I don't agree about Black Sabbath being so known but you're right!

  • @MetalGodsHaveyou heard Nazareth I recommend the albums Hair of the Dog,No Mean city,Expect No MercyThe two songs off of the debut album witchdoctor woman,Empty arms empty heart.I agree that Priest is fucking underated and overlooked but so isNazareth and they so fucking great.Nazareth is my favorite band o al time but Priest is around my 4th o so.Check out Nazareth I would recommend more but I am appealing metal taste in music these are heavier older albums.PRIEST AND NAZARETHboth fucking rock.

  • @MetalGods Haveyou heard Nazareth I recommend albums Hair of the Dog,No Mean city,Expect No MercyThe two songs off of the debut album witchdoctor woman,Empty arms empty heart.I agree that Priest is fucking underated and overlooked but so isNazareth and they so fucking great.Nazareth is my favorite band o al time but Priest is around my 4th o so.Check out Nazareth I would recommend more but I am appealing metal taste in music these are heavier older albums.PRIEST AND NAZARETHboth fucking rock.

  • @MetalGods Sorry for the choppiness but it is having to cut out stuff because it won't let you type a lot. But it pisses me off too. The thing that pisses me off the most is how well known metallica is and then there is Nazareth, Priest and other bands like that that have little to no recognition when compared with bands like acdc and metallica and zep.

  • "Now with the aid of your new walking stick

You hobble along through society thick

And look mesmerized by the face of it all

You keep to the gutter in case you fall"

In my personal opinion this song is a lyrical, vocal, and musical Masterpiece. It's almost hard to believe that this came off their first album.

  • @death0by0zgs

Truer, more heartfelt words have never been spoken, Julien. I couldn't have said it better myself if I tried.

  • @death0by0zgs man there first two albums were the the most artistic and instumental, especially they were so yound then...

  • @tpgphotog Thanks, I didn't know that term because I'm Italian

  • Todella hieno biisi Rocka Rolla -levyltä..

  • I undestard the the song, but I can't understand the meaning of the title

  • A timeless masterpiece.

  • MASTERPIECE

  • My favourite Priest track. I agree , Ian Hill's (I believe) bass line manages too both a mellow and grab you by the balls, the guitars are pefect, with the best solo in the world ever (proving that technical ability is only as good as the feeling behind it) Robs Vocals throughout are just bang on, and the drumming just so right. This, in fdact, could be my fave trackk ever .

  • KK and Glenn Rock......

  • How does such mellow bass line grab your balls and twist them so wonderfully??

  • This song and all early priest is in its own way is MONUMENTAL to rock music period.

The chord drops and transitions alone will stick to ya soul! It has to mine 30 years now!

KK Downing, Glenn Tipton FUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucking AAAAAAAAAAAA

Can you imagine the little disney terds configuring anything remotely close?

  • what preist albums should i download?

  • @MRec1124 All, without a doubt. Although I least like Turbo and British Steel, because IMO they are slightly cheesy (a lot people won't agree with me). But the really best albums are first 5 + Painkiller + Angel of Retribution

  • @0intelligence0 Screaming for Vengeance and Defenders of the Faith are pretty mean too.
