Dave is just the best rock drummer I've ever heard and seen. He epitomizes rock drumming it in every sense, from his look, to the way he moves and hits the drums and cymbals, to what he plays... its sick. I want to play just like him.

I think his drumming on this song is one of his best. Actually I actually think that his drumming with GRO is a bit more creative and interesting than his work with Pearl Jam. Dave A. and Dave Grohl were the two guys who inspired me to play the drums...

are you a drummer? if so, do us all a favor and quit. if not. you really have no leverage in this one. Dave A. is a rock drummer with finesse. Matt is a rock drummer influenced by elements of jazz, which great...but no where near the amount of energy emitted when Dave plays. The pictures that Dave paints while playing are way more colorful than Matt's. Just compare the two playing Even Flow, and you will see. As for him being fired, he LET them fire him. Creative differences dude. Grow up.

Matt's playing on Evenflow is soo boring. And I hate the way that they play the song so fast now. There is no groove. The best version of Evenflow that I have heard is the video version where Dave A plays. I remember hearing the Live from Atlanta '94 boot on the radio. Dave A's playing on Evenflow was so intense and he was just in the pocket that whole show.

@create42000 i totaly agree with you, but theres one point - dave is the one influenced by jazz, before pj he was a jazz player as far as i know... cameron influences are good, there are people who say hes influences are from bonham and moon.... and i say... yeah sure... dave has bonhans groove and straingh, and has moons dirtiness... cameron just suck balls compared to dave on PJ... but the one who had jazz inf was dave...
